Can someone please clear my confusion?

I recently downloaded a new version of the installer. (Because the Voicemod version I already had installed stopped working, "failed connection")

But I have kept the previous installers, and the version numbers don't really make sense to me. You can see what I mean on the screenshot.

I also don't get why there is a link for the download of the "v2 version" when downloading Voicemod. What difference is there to the "release" version?

Since you are old user: First you have to re-download V2 from #🆘┃support-faq message then reactivate your license there.

This will link Pro license to your account.

Hey so like, why is v3 so- bad-??
I've tried to stay positive, especially since i was apart of the v3 beta testing at the very start
But the UI is objectively worse and more complicated, and because its started from the ground up, the filters you can use for custom voices are completely different. As someone who's been using v2 professionally for 5 years, and making custom voices for several series I voice act in, it was such a jarring experience to try and bring some of my voices over to the new version.

The filters are completely different. The one Ive found to be the most jarring is pitch. And even the clean voices using the same equalization settings sound totally different.

Im someone who uses Voicemod V2 to get paid as a professional voice actor. Ive sorta become a master of using it to create the voices I need as I've been using it literally every single day since I got it, and its just completely different in V3 now. Even in a few weeks when the data migration tool gets released so I can bring all my voices and setting over to v3, I know for a fact I'll have to remake each and every one of them because of how different the filters sound. V3 is, in my opinion, a severe downgrade. V2 wasnt broken, and I dont understand why anyone thought it should be 'fixed'.

This has genuinely frustrated me and I need to air it out.

I use v2 for my work, and if the voices of characters I have suddenly completely change because a forced v3 update is rolled out, or v3 isnt fixed, it could cause me to have genuine problems.

Are you clicking it or holding down?

Just need to single click on the sound to play it without moving, hold to move it.

Or are you using push to loop where it's expected to hold the sound, but it's then moving it?

Sadly V2 prevented us from being able to bring out new content frequently.

In order to release a new voice, sound pack or even banners it would require a new app version, causing many issues and was very limiting for the technology we now have and can use thanks to V3.

In V3 when we now release new content it's server side, so doesn't require a new app version, just have to restart the app for it to show, along with our banners and in app messages.

V3 is Voicemod, it enables us to thrive and most importantly improve upon an already great product.

Please provide your feedback over here #✍┃feedback so we can look into these issues you're having and work to improve them.

Some of the filters however have been updated with newer technology which will sound different so that may explain why some of the settings are not the same. But provide your feedback, we can improve!

Hello.

Since you are old user: First you have to re-download V2 from #🆘┃support-faq message then reactivate your license there.

This will link Pro license to your account.

Once you have activated license in V2 uninstall it and install V3. Once you login V3 you should have an active Pro license.
