As someone who recently got voicemod working after hours of it not working. I had no joy after playing about with all the settings, and even changing what port I was using for my mic. What finally got it working for me was redownloading it after linking to my discord account, and then re-installing it completely. Not sure what went wrong but I would say a clean install wouldn't hurt.

That's fine, so basically for the past year or two my voice mod has worked perfectly, but recently when I open it it's like it is running at 5 fps and is super glitchy. I haven't found anyone with the same issue and I'm super confused on how to fix it.

Sounds like your issue is quite an advanced one for me to troubleshoot. If you haven't already I would create a support ticket in the Community-Support tab. I could blast you with a load of questions to try to figure it out, but again I am too new to be of much help I think. I would try to gather as much info about what the app is doing as you can via task manager or whatever other analysis you can make and include that in support, with a background on when it started happening etc.

You could also try a clean install, but if you have important settings and voices, sounds, modulators that you don't want to lose I would back that up first. I also don't know if voicemod keeps old files from a previous install, so you may need to manually do that, rather than rely on the app... assuming you want to try a clean install.

I also just found something else out. It is only bugging on my 2nd monitor, when using it on my first it works fine. When I switch it to my second monitor it says lagging and bugging.

Hey all - I just bought VM Pro and I can't get the intended voice effect to work, as I wish. Oddly enough GPT+ can't even get me a proper answer, because it's telling me to add an affect that doesn't exist, or used to exist, within Voicelab. I'll try to best explain the voice effect I'm trying to accomplish, while gaming:

Heard another player in game, whenever he would talk or tell his story, the pitch of his voice would automatically go from low to high, and high to low, it was never static, it was constantly going up and down while he's talking. Basically I'm trying to dynamically and automatically vary my pitch up and down in real time while speaking into my mic, like automatic pitch modulation.

This is what GPT told me to do:

In Voicelab, add a pitch effect starting low from 0-25. Then to add a second effect called "Vibrato" and to set the Depth around 70-100, and rate 1.5-2.0 Hz. Sounds simple enough, only problem is there is no effect in Voicelab called "Vibrato". I told GPT this, and they said to look for an effect that has the same features, but with a different name like "Tremolo" or "Modulator", I found Tremolo but it does not have the intended effect.

Anyways, even if Vibrato/Tremolo/Modulator isn't the answer, how can I accomplish the voice effect as explained in the 2nd paragraph?

I think there is a "voice request" and or "voice library" section in the voicemod discord under "Supercharged by voicemod", maybe someone already did what you want there? in your monitor display settings, there's an option for AMD Freesync, or Variable Refresh Rate.

If your monitor has that and it is enabled could you try turning it off and seeing if it stops Voicemod from freezing/crashing?

I can replicate this on my PC, I turn freesync off on the monitor then no crashes. So there must be an issue making VRR freeze voicemod. Something with that knowledge we can fix pretty quickly 🤞

Mute for me has not yet been implemented as such, but you can set the output volume to zero and you will no longer hear the sounds you play. Remember to turn it back up if you activate HEAR MYSELF. (this is for soundboards)

Voicemod has a noise gate so sometimes the virtual mic will be completely silent which discord finds abnormal. Use User Settings -> Voice & Video -> Voice -> Mic Test to check whether it's actually working or not.
