You can also when using High Quality settings in Virtual Desktop (with super resolution turned off), enable VR Passthrough and configure it with these greenscreen settings.
Red: 0
Green: 255
Blue: 0
Similarity: 20%
Smoothness: 10%
When you open up your VRChat Camera, you can then go to "Mask" and enable the greenscreen to look through into your real space! (Works best on Quest 3 or Pico 4)
With those settings, although "High" looks worse I get almost a locked 90fps. I can achieve the same 90fps with Ultra settings, But I like to use the passthrough which only works on High.
All personal preference, Sometimes I've noticed higher Quality settings give me the same or more fps since VRChat is CPU limited.
So it's really about the safety settings or choosing to block very poor or poor avatars is the easiest fps fix.

Oh interesting, I would probably make sure your microphone is set to 16bit 48000 Hz that will help to prevent cracking.

If you already have a Quest 2 then I would say it's not worth the extra price. But deffo a good choice if it's needed

its has far more features than quest 2 and it got a fairly minimal price bump in comparison, and the tech is wild for the price
they can likely improve the passthrough warping with future updates and when they do itll be a killer headset

Yeah I never linked the Pico 4 cable streaming, or the pico connect app to stream. Virtual Desktop looks super crisp and clear on my end at least but you need a really strong wireless connection

tbf I feel like the only extra advantage to VD is 10 bit which reduces the compression artifacts, but I'm sure Steam using HEVC is very similar.
You just get more options with VD
Oh and the VD + Meta AI body tracking

When your ingame open its settings and look for audio you should find the voicemod virtual audio. Its in vr settings but i dont know where it is.
