i rely on my experience lol, i've played on certain maps for long enough to know where enemies usually come from, take crash for example, people usually take position at the tall building or the walls around it while people look out the windows for them

Another thing: when you are sniping/playing shotgun I suggest you take time to make sure you can hit your opponent before shooting: I've seen so many snipers like me and randoms shoot blindly in close combat and not taking the time to drag/flick scope since they are panicking.. I try to take time but I panic so much I shoot blindly due to reflexes..
