The first stage of the world championship has ended May 24th we are now approaching the second stage of the championship, which will start on the 12th of this month and requires you to play in a team. We have launched a team-up channel for anyone whose championship team is incomplete.

It is up to both parties involved in the recruitment process to verify they qualified (One way to verify is by making sure they have the in-game championship avatar). World Championship - Stage 2
This stage of the tournament is almost over and we just wanted to give a heads up to all players that for the rewards both the participation and qualifying rewards for Team-Up Stage 2 need to be claimed on the Tournament Sign Up Page shortly after the stage formally ends, on 6/28 UTC. These rewards will only be available to claim until 6/30 UTC. Make sure to check them as soon as possible after finishing your participation or qualifying reward.

World Championship - Stage 1B
For those of you who struggled to qualify in Stage 1, or missed it all together, make sure to start ranking up now and get ready for another chance at glory. Starting on July 2nd (UTC) you’ll have a chance to qualify once again as we start another round of Stage 1 Qualifier Weekends.

For returning players or new players, this is a chance at new rewards, at climbing through the ranks, and at qualifying for the chance to win that $1 million prize pool. The higher your rank when you enter the more points you’ll earn. Start ranking up now and good luck!

World Championship - Stage 3
Stage 2 is well underway and over half-way complete, so if you are qualified and looking to participate make sure to grab a team as soon as possible. I wanted to address a few things I seen in the community in regards to the championship.

CODM - World Championship
As of 2 days ago, we’ve had two more new Stages launch of the World Championship tournament. While we’ve gone into these in-depth in previous updates or posts, we’ll mostly just touch on some of the basics around each stage of the tournament.

First off, we would like to address iPads. We have heard all of the questions and want to clarify that mobile devices including iPads and tablets are allowed for Stages 1-3 in the CODM World Championship 2020. We apologize for any confusion around this. However, for Stages 4 and 5 we will provide specific information, rules, and requirements at a later date.(#┊codm-news)

Stage 1B
This is our reboot of our Stage 1 solo qualifier weekends! For every weekend in July you’ll be able to jump in, grab new rewards (for participating or qualifying), and join in on the second round of competitions. This is open to all players regardless of where you are in the original set of Stages, even if you are in Stage 3 at the same time. Best of luck to everyone and good luck snagging the Championship Purple version of Ruin and the LK24 or BK57 assault rifles! Find all of those details in-game now under Ranked Match.

Stage 3
A few days ago we put out a community post with a pretty extensive amount of details on Stage 3 of the tournament, which is another team-based Stage that requires use of Game Battles to compete.

Depending on which region you are in, and if you qualified for Stage 3, that tournament could be going right now, so make sure to sign-up for a Game Battles account, form your team, and go over all of the rules and information listed in the channel headers for #726564193230258226

Public Test Build
Shortly after the release of this season we’ll have another public test build coming and with some early content for our next update. We’ll have a unique post up just for that release and just a reminder that this build will be only for Android devices, and it is a separate app that will not interfere the current version of Call of Duty: Mobile.

It will feature some unique content from that future update and it is something we are eager to get your feedback on as early as possible. That feedback will go towards shaping how this feature releases in August. In addition, we may have more public test builds release after the first with more S9 content.

For anyone that has played any Call of Duty before this mobile version there is always a set of players who greatly prefer a mode that is fast, brutal, and rewards accuracy and strategy – this is Hardcore mode**.** This mode has many unique traits that make it perfect for those seeking a more realistic Multiplayer experience where every single bullet counts. Here are the main details:

That’s right, friendly fire is on, there is a reduced hud, and it is much easier to die to a stray bullet. All Call of Duty titles handle friendly fire a bit differently, so with this mode you are able to teamkill twice and then any other friendly fire after that will become reflective, meaning it will do damage to you instead of a teammate. Keep your aim accurate friends. @everyone

It's not uncommon that we get users pretending to be Helpers, Moderators or Admins usually by copying their names and images on Discord. However, there have been some cases recently of these impersonators asking for information from users.

Helpers and Mods will never ask you for personal information or ask for access to your device, files and accounts. This includes asking for passwords or screen-shares! You should never be giving this information to anyone whatsoever.

If you're unsure about a message from a staff member, open their profile from the Discord member list and click 'message'. Helpers and Mods will be at the top of the member list and will have a staff role. If messaging them takes you to the DM you received, that means this user did contact you. If it opens a new DM, they are not the same user that reached out to you.

Always avoid clicking on links from people you don't know or giving away personal information. Please be safe and remember that we will never ask you to compromise your security in any way.

Gear up for Halloween Standoff and Hovec Sawmill in Multiplayer; celebrate the return of Undead Siege with a new Halloween theme; go door to door in the Trick or Treat event. And that’s just a part of it.

In Season 9, your worst nightmares come to life. Nightmare goes live on October 21 at 5 PM PT. Here’s what’s ahead…if you dare.

New Rewards in the Nightmare Battle Pass
Season 9 is packed with horror-themed content in a brand-new Battle Pass, including free and premium items like new Operators, a new functional weapon, Weapon Blueprints, Calling Cards, Charms, Call of Duty Points, and more.

Battle Pass Free Tiers
At Tier 14, unlock the new Tak-5 Operator Skill; use the ability in the heat of battle to heal your team and top them up with extra health. Get your hands on the new Swordfish functional weapon at Tier 21. Other free tier items include the Striker — Covenant, the Charm — Cymbalism, and more.

Premium Pass Tiers
Get the Battle Pass for the chance to earn all of the content available in the Nightmare stream. Terrify your foes with Halloween-themed Operators like Artery — Nosferatu; Rott —Tomb Bound; Iskra — Arachnis; and Nikto — Scarecrow. New Multiplayer Maps
Halloween Standoff: Night falls on Standoff, with jack-o’-lanterns lighting the way. Play the classic Halloween map available for a limited time in Season 9. Beware!

Hovec Sawmill: First introduced in Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare®, Hovec Sawmill takes Operators to the deserted village of Kastovia. Battle around the flaming sawmill and watch for snipers as you traverse the map’s wide-open grounds.

Trick or Treat! Themed Event
Knock-knock. Trick or treat! Go door to door and try your luck. If you’re tricked, complete an in-game task to get your candy; if you’re treated, get the candy right away. Candy awards event XP, progressing you through the event track with milestone rewards along the way. Set your own room to trick or treat, and visit your friends’ rooms, too.

Undead Siege Returns, Plus Other Limited-Time Halloween Modes
Prepare to fight off the undead once again when Season 9 returns with a new Halloween-inspired Undead Siege on Isolated. Face off against more zombie types in casual mode, like the Warden, the Heavy Gunner, and the Pulverizer, and try your luck in the new daytime escort quest. Also, compete in 10v10 Pumpkin Confirmed and in the Battle Royale experience Isolated at night, plus new zombie scares in Blackout.

New Multiplayer Mode: Drop Zone
Get ready for mayhem. In this new mode, first introduced in Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare 3, teams battle for dominance over a designated drop zone that rotates throughout the match. The only way to earn Scorestreaks is by holding the zone, prompting care packages to drop onto the map, offering a variety of armaments. Your team also earns more points for each player in the zone, so stack up…but watch those incoming grenades.

New Seasonal Challenges and Featured Events
New challenges bring new rewards like the Thumper, the next weapon in the Launcher class, and the Flash Drone, a tactical drone that blocks the enemy’s vision. Watch for the new Pumped Battle Royale class coming in a featured event — your Operator gains a jet pack, giving you new ways to navigate the map and engage in combat.
