Ima be so fr, aim assist barely plays a role in alot of sniping. Like 90% of it is crosshair placement, and then pre aiming. The ttk is instant meaning you dont have to track, maybe thats a bit of a factor if it saves you from overflicking a bit sometimes but i know a couple incredible snipers who actually just dont use aim assist cuz it barely matters, and with how movement can be sometimes in this game, flicking is just all the more important (im a broken record ik)

Its about whats optimal, very few guns even have multiple builds, those that do are upvoted. But when people sacrifice upsides to weaken the downsides of a gun its just counter productive. Like if you have to stack a marksman barrel, and a foregrip on a gun to control it and nuke its good mobility. Just use a gun that already has good recoil and then just build it up from there.
