Using red dot isn't a taboo, using a red dot will give you clear visibility which will make aiming easier for you but you'll have to sacrifice 1 attachment slot which will prevent you from using the best version of the weapon, but if you get used to using a weapon with default ironsight and aim just as well you were aiming with the red dot then you'll be able to use the best version of the weapon, however like I said at the beginning it's not a taboo so you can remove an attachment that you find to be "not essential" and use a red dot in it's place
