I think it's the device. Haven't tried Samsung branded buds, but I think they did some kind of limiting to only allow optimum performance for their own stuff. Or at least I wouldn't be surprised. I don't know much about it, but I tried to do some different things to improve latency, including adding other codecs or adjusting settings, some of them were not possible to use in the device at all. Idk. It's not flagship, so perhaps I expect too much.
