Point 1:

A mythic character has 3 paths which are respectful the BR Path, The MP Path, The Colour Path (I made up the names myself). I have highlighted them using pink line.

Point 2:

Each Path have 3 stages, I have highlighted them using the white lines. You can't unlock Stage 2 or 3 beforehand, hence you'll need to unlock then numerical 1 -> 2 -> 3.

Point 3:

Execution is part of the MP Path, the Path at the top side is the MP Path. You unlock the execution at stage 3 of that Path which is highlighted using Green Star. You'll need to unlock both the stage 1 and stage 2 before that which are highlighted using red circles.

Point 4:

To unlock these stages, you'll need to spend mythic coins. Both Mythic weapons and Mythic characters have their own seperate upgrade material. The material for Mythic characters is more costly.
