Yep, M4 is only useful in bot lobbies, It won't survive against meta. The stats are stable, but not good enough. The fire rate is slow and the damage is mid, that combination will get you rekt by uss9 players. Currently the best weapons to use are probably uss9, vmp, drh, oden, type 19, xm4, qq9. I only listed AR and SMG. If you are looking for an easy to use but still decent weapon then go for M13, you can survive in ranked with that if your skills are decent enough and it's pretty easy to use.

Attachments aren't like power ups. They nerf and buff your weapon at the same time. For example, I prefer fast weapons. Then I'll use the attachment called no stock, that attachment will give me high mobility and high ads time. However, at the same time it'll increase the recoil by a lot. Hence, it'll be difficult to control the gun while shooting. Attachments aren't like you clash royale players using potions to buff your enemies. You are literally switching weapon parts to change the properties of a weapon. Most of the experienced players use original loadouts, they make builds for themselves and not copy it. Each build is unique.
