Sounds are too complext to improve that much, because sound is vibration. The issue with generative models is that they do not distinguish frequencies and pitch in the same manor as pr natural instruments. They never will. They can replicate the sound of it..but it will always sound off to a trained ear or a decent musician.

No 2 instruments produce exactly the same sound. To humans this margin of error is so small that its usually not even noticeable. However for a generative program that's being trained, it would throw out the scope of frequencies it learns to create, causing it to create sounds that simply do not exist with instruments. This has to do with how the current training method for LLM& and Generative Programs works.

This specific error process does not exist with visual generation because in visual it can detect discrepancies. It can't detect discrepancies in sound because it does not have a method to do so, therefore it takes natural deviation and turns it into a much bigger thing than it is in normal instruments. There is no real way to tell it what to identify as a discrepancy because it is almost impossible to map out the very deviations in frequency that cause it. We're talking billions of minor variations in frequency that most humans can't even detect.

Mix that with the ones we can detect, and you have essentially created "corrupted" data. Feeding this to a generative program to train them will cause them to misinterpret the data and since it can't actively check and map frequencies, it can't prevent itself from turning a minor deviation into a sound that does not exist.

As for the part about training it, there is no accurate way of training it for frequencies because it can't distinguish frequencies. There simply isnt a way to get it to distinguish them. It can create them...but that's it.
