Problem with virtual ram is it allocates a small amount of disk space to the cpu..but at much lower speeds than regular ram. So while you're running DDR5 for example at around 3200Mhz, the storage allocated to act as ram would run at around 1 - 1.5 Ghz on average. Even lower if you're not using an SSD.

Plus you get dips in speed if it's a HDD.
