You can maybe try clearing your rockstar cache, but that also isn’t a 100% guarantee to work

Or to test and guarantee if it’s a rockstar issue, try logging in on more then one device (like mobile for example, try signing into your acc) or go through browser and attempt it if the launcher isn’t letting you

I feel like the majority of people never really consider the business side of video game development and all the costs associated with producing and distributing a game.

Cost of production goes up, price should go up as well.
Take Sony's most recent price increase for example. I'm fairly certain Sony was already selling the PS5 below cost, but they can only take so much of a loss for each unit. When the cost of parts and product distribution goes up, the price will naturally go up as well.

Then you need to consider the fact that as time goes on, game sales will start to dwindle, making their revenue stream unpredictable.

Rockstar employs roughly 6,000 people globally. Let's say the average annual salary globally is ~$100k USD. That's an annual payroll expense of $600 million/year. That's JUST payroll.
