Haven't had issues at all. Starting to think the issue is internet-related since the only way I could recreate the issue so many people were talking about was by using my cell phone as a hotspot to play GTA Online.

It is, but I wasn't having that issue on my home internet and I wanted to troubleshoot the issue and rule out possibilities, so I had to use the shittiest internet connection I could think of which was using my cell phone as a hotspot.

High ping and restricted NAT. Within 15 minutes, I finally knew what issue people were talking about. So now, I'm convinced the issue is internet-related and not game-related.

People keep blaming the issue on Rockstar servers. The problem is, GTA Online utilizes peer-to-peer so people don't connect to Online lobbies via a server. They connect to the lobby via a session host, which is another player in the lobby. The issue people are reporting with "everyone leaving the session" isn't actually everyone leaving the session, it's one player desyncing from the session which makes it look like everyone has left.

I've even tested this by having two accounts in the same lobby. The account running off my mobile hotspot desynced from the lobby, but the account still on my home internet remained in the lobby with the other players.
