I was clearing a level 4 hard salvage run when the game simply crashed and punished me for it. How is that the slightest bit fair no reconnect or rejoin option just a flat 25 percent cut because the game crashed. It was during a legion strike force at a hidden depot. The last sector before the final sector. I spent an hour fighting through each sector killing Corvette after Corvette and had 9 broken components another 2 to 3 at the depot and 3 for the mission means 7 to 8 Ingots were lost. Full rewards of what I had collected into that point is the better solution. A reconnect or resume mission option is the best solution.

It's absolutely frustrating and unfair, and disconnects shouldn't be happening in the first place. We have to be slightly careful where we implement partial rewards, due to it otherwise becoming otherwise to cheese the system with exploitative behaviour (claiming rewards right after joining someone)
When a person is the host and has an unfortunate disconnect, its very hard to keep that session going for reconnecting, its just the nature of P2P networking.
That aside, I'm assuming you mostly play solo on the Xbox?
Offline Mode is in the works, and will make disconnects not matter for solos because you're not reliant on a connection anyway. I hope we can finish that feature soon and get it in to resolve your problems
Yea it was a solo match on Xbox which makes it more annoying that it cut 25 percent. If you want to avoid cheesing make it based on what the player was there for and give them full rewards for that if they leave early, not what the host and potential previous crew collected.
