#About 30 hours of gameplay now. Some random ideas that might be intresting.

The following things are just ideas and don't have to be implemented the exact same way or even at all. Some suggest may have already been made, these are just my takes on possible ideas after some gameplay.

Add weapon statistics. Such as being able to see how many robots were defeated with a shotgun mk3 or damage dealt. Maybe even stats that are weapon specific would be cool.

At difficulty 3 and higher add a health mechanic that acts as radiation but stronger as it always targets random parts of your ship and becomes more aggressive for each green 'hull health point' that is missing.

Add permanent damage to higher difficulties, at difficulty 3 and up make it so that if you lose 2 bars of ship health all damage after that cannot be recovered with ship health. The minimum required amount before hull damage becomes permanent can scale with difficulty.

Better meteor showers, make meteor showers ignore shield and also possibly make a setting for improved meteor vfx.

More aggressive ground and ship enemies, make them seek you out at a faster pace, especially with ships they usually won't approach you until you are attacking them or right in their face.

Grenades, add throwables that can explode, eg;

  1. An electric shockwave grenade that stuns regular foot enemies but has no effect against mini bosses or large constructs of machine, if you hit a player with it disable that player's shield for 20 seconds (it gets set to 0 and cannot regenerate).
  2. Regular grenade, you already know what this is although a more futuristic feel to it would definitely be good.
  3. Friendly grenade, causes point of impact to spawn a zone that slowly heals players within the zone (like portable medbay but much weaker, maybe healing at most 20-30 hp but instantly deployable).

Unique enemies, eg;
1: Small quickly moving dragonflies that land on larger machines and apply a rapid self repairing effect, example can be done with other things I just think something that hides between armour plates that can quickly blitz around to help other robots would be cooler.
2: Centipede machine, like the standard minibosses, will wrap around players and saw them apart slowly (like the cave leech from deep rock galactic) it will require the help of friends to take them off or you need to have a melee weapon on hand however if you use the melee weapon you are guaranteed to lose 15 hp + whatever else did damage to you. Relatively chonky boss.
3: Mech suit, boss, requires weapons with high penetration to be defeated (eg. railguns).

Varying sounds, add variations in pitches of gunshots and other things, also just add a larger variation of sound.

More environments, add more environments (environments are like the different zones you warp to such as the meteor environment that you always go to for scrap).

Better ship flying (its already peak though ngl), eg;
1: Add a first person view toggle when flying the ship.
2: Add vfx when boosting other than the slight screen warp, such as the trail when warping but slightly less impressive since you aren’t going nearly as fast.

Death zone modifier, can only be found on difficulty 4 and 5, adds a modifier to sectors causing them to be swarming with enemies but have high grade loot, swarming as in more than just one corvette at a time. Rewards can be anything from 2-5 upgrade alloy and ship parts to just an ungodly amount of high grade salvage.

collision damage, player to object and player to bot, not for bot to objects however because they randomly bug out and it’ll probably cause them to explode for no reason.

Idea for the second unlock ship, let players use all boost they have with a hotkey to dash a long distance, after dashing there's a 10 second window where the yellow boost bar does not replenish, distance is determined by amount of boost used in case it can be increased.

Hard drives for drive, make a way to upgrade mk3 ship drives using a lootable item that stays between missions that do something cool with great tradeoff. Such as giving you 4 boost slots but your ship speed decreased by 30%.

Slowly drifting, makes structures and things of the like such as asteroids slowly drift around meaning spending 20 minutes to complete an objective will cause you to be a few hundred meters from your ship. Makes the world feel more alive.

Although with or without these things the game is still amazing, unofficial ficsit corporation approves!

I normally just use ship weaponry though btu I also basically only play alone or with one other person.

They are somewhat unwieldly on foot though

Also, they are working on adding first person pilot view.

And as far as the medical bomb, I prefer the current medical droid. It makes more sense. I've never understood how a bomb helps you gain health.

I agree about the more aggressive droids, but it would be nice to have them not have perfect knowledge of your location. At the moment, once they see you, they know exactly where you are at all times. It would be nice if it was possible to be somewhat sneaky
