Given it's a roguelike set up where preparation is key, it'd be nice to be able to prepare the ships' power grids before we go into a mission.

Maybe being able to go down to the ship while it is in the hanger?

Fair point. That's why I just pick a level one mission when I'm just testing different reactors lol

Yeah right, to test if a new build can be powered, now we have to:

  • choose a random mission from the map
  • start the mission and wait for the cut scene, then for the jump
  • finally, in the ship, we can check the power grid and do adjustments, see it doesn't work the way we wanted or be happy with the setup
  • continue the mission (if it was a mission we actually wanted to do), or go back to the hangar
  • wait for the cut scene
  • spawn not near the engineering stuff, but in the base
  • walk down to the engineering
  • then we can change the setup again

You see, seems many steps to me, would be nicer to be able to walk/jump to the ship and check the power grid there...

Devs confirmed in another thread that they will be adding this to the hub at some point. They said it wont be on the ship so it's likely going on the wall somewhere next to the other parts.
