You lose your gear if you abandon or lose the mission, it's fair enough. How did your scanner got uninstalled? Did you go to the power grid inside the ship to try and replace it?

I"ve lost so many MK3 guns that I don't even care anymore. I just play with the pistol and pickup whatever. I expect to lose my guns randomly now so it bothers me less.
