If you think buddy is too op then you probably don't have friends that are decent at game, buddy can't repair shields, can't use targetting components or burst shields or have any of player healing artifacts working
Ofcourse not counting the weak weapon drops you get when you play solo

To be fair, buddy can man the guns, aimbot, empty the mass canisters, repair the ship, scan the zone, refill ammo, sass the enemy ships and flirt with the ship, all at the same time.

I have awesome friends thnx and we DO have fun but as Buddy is now, is what I am saying, he is too OP and the whole incentive to play coop in a coop game, is less attractive.

Yep I completely agree. The game is so much fun that I want to play it all the time, but my friends can’t. Sadly that leaves me with buddy which is not as fun as with friends.
This doesn’t mean that game has gone bad, it just means you need to wait for your friends.

One thing I'd really like to see is changing the way the game "defaults" to the highest numbered (last obtained) weapon/item after you drop something. That has resulted in my dropping my big new weapon sometimes when I'm in a hurry and not sure if I put the silly salvage thing down or not.
Please make the system default to the multi-tool. You can't drop that, so it's the safest thing to go back to to avoid mistakes.

I think my problem is sometimes it seems there's some lag, and it looks like I haven't dropped the thing I want to, and I spam it and . . . poof. Where'd my Mk3 weapon go?!? (Usually this is when I'm at the point of jumping out after the final objective, and I'm hurrying to try to get out before getting blown up by the endless waves. And then the mission ends, and I am not carrying that nice weapon I wanted to keep.)
