Right now the Halberd is 4 shot burst with only 23 ammo in the magazine. Not only does that mean you have a multiple of ammo that doesn't fit your burst length, the burst length becomes uncanny to use.
Please adjust the burst length to 2 or 3 shots down from 4, and adjust the ammo to a multiple of the burst length (i.e. base 24, with +2/3 ammo per level)

The ammo per magazine can vary depending on the weapon’s level, so the problem would come up again when you find a higher-quality version. The better solution would be to adjust the magazine size to the burst length so that in every version you find, you can always fire complete bursts!

Not if the magazine size increase is also a multiple of the burst length

The mag size not being a direct multiple is based off of real burst fire guns that have that last shorter burst as feedback for when you need to reload

eh im not so sure about that, the mk 3 smg slaps pretty hard bro, has a high rate of fire too, only 1x optics for cqb, i would agree that it needs a close range buff to make it more of a smg, but in its current state even mk0 is 2x more powerful than the multitool.

Don't get me wrong i love the smg, its my main.
But, its just a worse halberd at this point.
Needs more dmg at close range or more ammo
