- The jump between missions needs the cut scene to be removed and replaced with us actually going through a wormhole and being able to roam the ship whilst within. For us to leave the wormhole the pilot just needs to hold C and jump out.
This alone can bring significant immersion to the whole expedition. - Controls for flying does need improvement I'm unsure how to describe it but it feels off in its current state.

Removing the "wormhole" or load screen would actually probably be very technically difficult.
You might want to be more clear with the controls for flying issue, are you using a keyboard or controller? How could the devs improve it?
what if they keep the loading screen but they add a time before said loading screen but after you jump away from danger same idea because i like the idea but more realistic implementation

I mean yeah it does sound awesome to basically like be in the vortex for a bit
But how would they deal with a player jumping out, or a player removing the jump drive, or any of the many presumable under-the-hood issues extending mission length arbitrarily would be. It just sounds like a hell of a lot of work for a gimmick that people would get tired of after the first few jumps
just a suggestion: lock all outside doors and tubes, and don't enable jumpdrive to be removed or even any other modules during the jump
I assume they went with the cutscene is because all the players would be stuck in their seats anyway, and letting you perform tasks during the jump would be complicated to add to the game (can you go outside etc., what should and shouldn't you be able to do)
Void crew has separate enter and exit events and it kinda works, but they also have interdiction risk when you spend too long in hyperspace, yet another thing they'd have to add/balance
Yeah it would be super cool but I wouldn't be surprised if it wouldn't really be possible with however they've made the game
I won't say it's simple, but it's not that difficult either. You just need to change the skybox and have the next stage preload while players can still interact with the game - like a minigame that even old games had. The only barrier here is that this loading could weigh on the player's PC and make the game laggy, so making this between space very optimised is something to consider.
