if this helps you get your fix, b-hopping works to some extent. it won't get you up to high speeds from standing, but if you're already going fast (like from a hook cancel or a jetpack) it can take you very far. it's especially useful on freighter missions because it overrides the speed debuff handling heavy cargo gives you
