When opening a building that requires all players to unlock, it'd be nice to be able to forfeit your involvement and allow the other players to proceed without you.
This is for the sake of asymmetrical roles.
While others are breaching, solving the puzzle, one (or more) of the crew members can remain on the ship.
They can perform repair duties, scrap items and do organizing, or defend it while it's landed.
I'm not sure if this falls under mechanic or feature, so I've tagged it as both.
