When you cancel a join it can put the menu UI on top of the loading screen and if you try to join again it will soft lock you and make your screen look like this picture. when I press esc it will lock me in the pause menu and unstuck does nothing.

the screen didn't start like this but the mission thing appeared at the top and swiped to the right but it just spread over the screen like that.

esc, sorry I didnt get back to you but, when you are joining someone is there not a thing in the bottom right to cancel the join?
