I noticed when i pres esc to go in the menu the game continue's (atleast in prologue) and i have a suggestion of pausing the game when u press esc so u wont take damage or miss lines from npc's

This is difficult to do as the game is coded for multiplayer. We are looking into other solutions for when solo players need to AFK.

Add a pause button to the menu? No need to worry about single/multiplayer, giving the players the opportunity to pause the game may be useful regardless.

Yeah, so that's harder for us to do than you might think because of how the game is coded for multiplayer.
Not being dismissive, we want to solve the AFK problem and we have other ideas for how to do it.

I think this is a great idea for Solo players, but multiplayer is a different thing, if someone needs to go AFK their team mates can take over and 'keep safe' as Groove mentions it can be complex to build in, that is why many games do not feature such things, but hey its a great idea!

Having played only the demo, the game is also seem very generous with downtime, so it might not be needed.

As an alternative to this maybe they could do what Void Crew does and allow for upgrades/planning/breaks to be done while in transit( with a chance of interdiction 😉 )

On the topic of pausing the game, maybe preventing weapon fire up-on clicking into the game from being alt+tabbed out would be nice

I'd say this would have to be a host only setting, but allow players to vote for it to be unpaused maybe

We'll see what we can do 🫡

Maybe, like void crew just added, resumeable runs while jumping

Just code a cloak device that works for x minutes that may be crafted once in any level

#

And it works as long as you do not move the ship

Disappearing the whole ship, maybe, but what if there's people not on the ship when you need to go AFK? You can't control when someone comes to the door after all.
