I love that Carantania is a formable (so much so that I tried to mod it but Paradox added it to the 1.19 beta before I could upload the mod). That said, I think it is rather immersion-breaking that you are "restoring Carantanian Rule" but every county and barony that is not (or is part of) Kranj retain their German names. The same goes for the duchies of Carinthia and Steyermark. There should be Carantanian cultural names for these titles.

Yeah this would be great!
Okay what names do you propose?
Leibach = Ljubljana
Leibnitz = Lipnica
Klagenfurt = Celovec
Villach = Beljak
Kammersberg = (unsure as its some small village in Austria. Would have to look up Slovene names for other things in that area)
Knittelfeld = I would name this one after the district it is in (Murtal or in Slovene doline Mure)
Graz = Gradec
Mürzzuschlag = another small town. Im mainly using wikipedia and im not seeing any translation for this one. Obersteirermark is overwhelmigly German-speaking so hard to say what a Slovene/Carantanian name for it would be.
Pitten = This one is even harder as this is like in Lower Austria. In freaking Neunkirchen. Hard to say if there is any Slovene exonym for it
Wikipedia suggests Celovc for Klagenfurt which suggest some sort of dialect of Slovene. Must be some rules that necessitate some changes from modern slovenian
Yeah thats mainly because klagenfürt is right there for that specific dialect group (koroška)

that said, admittedly I have not accounted for the fact that finding these north of Villach is kind of impossible, so ig those can stay as is. One > is duchy, two is county, three is barony
In that case standardized Slovenian seems to be the play bc bavarian provinces are not written in a Bavarian dialect. Consistency is key. As such Carinthia should also stay.
