Given that you’ve made it a priority to depict the game’s content with sensitivity in mind, I think it’s worth taking a look at how the current game systems appear to implicitly encourage eugenicist frames of thought through mechanics like tiered congenital traits, Pure-Blooded, and the Blood legacies.

I can think of no historical or simulationist justification for the game’s eugenics mechanics, and I find them diametrically opposed to roleplaying. For the players who want that kind of play, I think it’s possible to have a system not based around selective breeding that is still capable of allowing players to produce superhumans through childhood event paths, lifestyle events, mentors, etc. Characters could still have a chance to be born with one of the tiered traits in a manner that is solely up to chance rather than genetics, which would make Genius, Beautiful, or Herculean characters feel rarer and more valuable.

An argument can be made for Genius, but for Beautiful and Herculean, those things are usually dictated by the parents genes, aren't they?
