Given that you’ve made it a priority to depict the game’s content with sensitivity in mind, I think it’s worth taking a look at how the current game systems appear to implicitly encourage eugenicist frames of thought through mechanics like tiered congenital traits, Pure-Blooded, and the Blood legacies.
I can think of no historical or simulationist justification for the game’s eugenics mechanics, and I find them diametrically opposed to roleplaying. For the players who want that kind of play, I think it’s possible to have a system not based around selective breeding that is still capable of allowing players to produce superhumans through childhood event paths, lifestyle events, mentors, etc. Characters could still have a chance to be born with one of the tiered traits in a manner that is solely up to chance rather than genetics, which would make Genius, Beautiful, or Herculean characters feel rarer and more valuable.
