Right now, the spectacles become the default Face Item the moment we become scholars, with no option to take them off. I think it'd be nice to be able to take them off since some of us (like me) might not like their character being forced to wear them because of roleplay reasons, immersion or simply because someone doesn't like the way it looks.
It might be a small thing, but I think it would help in maintaining player agency in creating the character we want to create.

No sadly not. Once you become scholars the spectacles become the default option, with the "No Face Item" option disappearing from the list. Even if you choose any of the other face items, the spectacles simply overlap them. (even if you choose a blindfold, which is admittedly kinda funny...)

So apparently, as of this update, your character doesn't put on spectacles until you appoint someone as your Second.

I suppose that's one way of avoiding the spectacles then, but a Second is kind of a big stat boost to miss out on. I just hope they'll add the "No Face Item" option back in at the barber, regardless of which Camp Purpose we choose to adopt.
