It makes no sense for them to do this! I figured they were just trying to scare enemies away with their presence or something, but they do this even when their teammates (read: me) are fighting and getting killed by some1 else. Please make it so they'll attach to the nearest army or go prevent their cities from getting sieged... anything. I've legit lost a couple of wars because of this lmao.

That makes sense but they're splitting up and then standing around doing nothing. They could be sieging a nearby county or something. Note how no one's moving.

Allied armies usually stay near the player army for me. I am pretty sure they want to stand together so they can support each other if a battle happens

Yeah, as has been mentioned they're standing near your armies so if you get attacked they can doomstack your enemy. Trust me when I say the AI standing near your army and doing nothing is far better than the AI going off and doing it's own thing, which is what the problem is with Crusades at the moment.
