I'm on Arch Linux(EndavourOS). I have created a Tauri project with npm create tauri-app@latest > cd project-name > npm install > npm run tauri dev.
It works fine, it throws an error but I think it's because of Wayland.
The thing is, I'm trying to run npm run tauri info or cargo tauri info but it does nothing... literally nothing. Check the image.
#tauri info does nothing

I also tried with an old project I created months ago but the same thing happens.
With npm run tauri info -- --verbose the result is this:
It's been 10 minutes and it's doing anything
On the old project I tried updating with npm update and cargo update but same result.
Damn, after ~25 minutes it showed the Environment info and after ~30 minutes the rest of the info...
Why the hell it takes 30 minutes to finish????
I don't have any VPN or anything strange
Maybe the company NAT or something with my internet provider?
It should not... I never had issues with internet or crate installations
Everything works fine and fast
Is there any log or something that may help you?
i think the verbose logs you already sent are the best thing we have right now - they don't help me at all though tbh
do you have a system proxy?
i'll double check if we pick up certs and proxies correctly but then the best thing i can do is give it a X seconds timeout since these version checks aren't that important.
No, I don't ^^
If you could then perfect. Once the first 25 minutes process finished it took only a few minutes to work
So it could be nice to have a limit
interesting that it still took minutes to finish. maybe the connection issue was wayyy worse with one over the other.
or maybe some antivirus software interfering
I can send you a txt with all the verbose logs
that would be nice
I don't have clamav or anything. I don't know if EndweavourOS have something included but I don't think so... just the firewall
ah right, linux. i was thinking about those awful things on windows
No, not this case
Arch Linux btw
For some reason now it took ~30 seconds to complete everything....
Maybe creates.io was overloaded?
It makes no sense lol
iirc crates.io uses github as a host for most of their stuff and i have connection issues with github every. single. evening. So for me this would make some sense at least x)
This is not the first time it happens to me. Long ago, when I started the project, I had the same issue but only thr first 3 or 4 times I ran the command and then started working fine.
I never had issues with GitHub tho
Can I get the --verbose logs somewhere on the system?
The old ones I mean
Also, now that we're here, after updating everything it looks like wry it's not been updated for some reason
It's keeps the latest tauri-runtime-wry required version
