Good news, I seem to have got the patch working already!
This is beyond the scope of this topic now, but I am now having an issue I've seen before (even on older Electron) where playing a lot of little sound bytes very quickly causes the AudioContext to be suspended for a moment, then resume (and all of the soundbytes that lagged play at once, it's very loud)
Neutralino also had this problem. Seems to be something beyond just Tauri

probably because they have much more control over chromium (and a tighter integration) than neutralino and tauri but idk
Maybe as Tauri and Neutralino (and others) mature, they'll start to resolve things like this
I have been dying to switch my app off Electron, but this one issue keeps stopping me
I use a lot of realtime pitch shifting in the game, it's not simething I can replace

So I guess if worse comes to worse I'll just forget about releasing a desktop version for the moment
that's weird tho. the webview on windows for example is basically just edge (the chromium version) so it should match the browser behavior

then you're fucked to be honest - webkitgtk does like to give us a hard time (also means that you can forget everything i said about chromium)
or maybe if we're lucky it's a general webkit problem which means that maybe apple will fix it and the webkitgtk devs could just use/port it

But in the meantime, I might just drop linux desktop version, Theres 14 downloads and I'll bet some of those are me lol
