I know this one!! After winning (which you obviously can do) start again but this time "swap group" (i.e. simply reverse the sequence of your teams going into battle - no need to swap units: just teams) and then, after winning the first battle, quit the match. You will see the progress from the previous win. Tested and verified by me (edit: in Abyss Trial, similar bug).
