I am proposing a rework for housing to alleviate one issue specifically.
Issue:
New players are unable to find
inexpensive housing when they start out because most 800 and 2000 rent houses are taken. A significant amount of housing is taken by veteran players that have alts.
This makes the whole housing system worse for everybody.
Veteran players need to keep note of when their rents end and be stressed about it if they forget, but more importantly new players just have a worse experience in the game all together.
They have a hard time if not impossible time joining the housing mechanic, therefore have nowhere to store their items making inventory management worse and have a harder time outside of their village because of extended BI time compared to people with a house.
This one issue of housing scarcity creates several branching issue that combine to create a worse experience for new players.
Proposed Rework:
Rework housing so that each house has a certain amount of slots for characters to spawn there and you may pay an optional fee additional to your rent every month to increase the slots, up to a cap. This cap increases the more expensive your house is.
800 ryo apartments
1 slot, can buy 2 more slots for 400 more rent each, for a total of 3 slots
2000 ryo houses
3 slots, can buy 3 more slots for
400 more rent each, for a total of 6 slots
6000 ryo houses
8 slots, can buy 4 more slots for 400 more rent each, for a total of 12 slots
8000 ryo houses
10 slots, can buy 5 more slots for 400 more rent each, for a total of 15 slots
10000 ryo houses
14 slots, can buy 6 more slots for 400 more rent each, for a total of 20 slots
The UI would be the same as it is now and there would be a new option for people you've added to your house.

Co-Owner
Privileged
Anyone marked as privileged has the same rights as co-owner but also can spawn there.
This would benefit the veteran players that have more expensive houses with a slight savings on Housing in the long term and with cheaper spawn slots, and would help free cheaper housing for newer players, so that hey can experience the housing system, and just overall have a better experience playing the game.
Any feedback is welcome.
