Bank NPC will give you access to your vault with no physical box needed to go to... you can increase the size of your vault with upgrades etc
each town should have bank, including the ones outside sand, leaf and mist so hermits can access their own ones too.

Just create a bank don't get rid of houses.
1 - people like houses and furnishings and having their own space
2 - houses give you shorter bi so don't get rid of them.
Definetly lets add a bank thougg that'd be nice

I fully agree with that part. I have a second house to keep my 20 metal boxes lol

My personal house is a private arena for guildies/friends, cold storage for useless items like copper/silver ingots, and a collective storage for an irl friend that I share quest items with.
3 of my other houses are my player shops (Sand, Leaf, and Takumi)
My final house is a prize that's going to be given to a guildie.
I think a bank might be a cool idea, for newer players...BUT
Your clan house ALSO serves as a place you can put boxes for storage and, as long your clan leader isnt a goon, probably one of the only places for a new player to place a box
