For starters, Hinokami's running animation is a little lack luster compared to the incredible animations and visuals found elsewhere in the game. I would make it more smoothe and flow like an actual run, rather than stiff movements.

Additionally, when you have your weapon out you should also have a different stance, rather than it just flailing around in your hand. Some examples could be both arms behind your back for duel wielded weapons or fists. For someone like Gyomei you could have the hand with the axe held forward while the other hand goes back and spins the flail. For single swords you could do the normal two handed grip by the waist, or potentially running while holding it in the sheath similar to Zenitsu. There are a lot more options than just that, for various weapons, but the general idea is (cool running animations for weapons).
