Having to wait for an event to happen and rely on others to rank yourself up would get frustrating when you can just rank yourself up by player kills or levels.

To WHO'S standards? it's pretty wrong to base other players abilities who could be playing on different devices that could give them disadvantages and all sorts of issues, not everyone is as privileged enough to buy a pc and just wanna play and rank in the game normally instead of having to pvp to and wait for another person to feel like leveling them up bc they think they are "gud"
It's also another flawed idea bc what if the person they are pvp is well more experienced than them and should be way more ranks than they should be, making the first person have more trouble to rank up and then have to wait for a cool down and some event to happen again.
