Shounen Studio would like to give a big thank you to every member in the server. As the end of the year approaches looking back at how the year began, we could never imagine the growth that we have here. With over 60,000 members and being officially partnered with Discord those are feats that we just simply didn’t imagine, but everyone here made that possible so thank you. As Christmas is starting, being enjoyed or ending for some of you. We hope/hoped that you got to spend that time with the people you cherish and create memories that will last, this year has been rough. Some won’t be seeing family cause of the current world events and those whom are, truly enjoy it. I would like to also give a thanks to the staff team which has been dedicated to devoting their time to the community in Slayers/Demons and Shounen Chats you truly are the people keeping the community alive with little to no reward, you’re here cause you’re passionate and care for the community which I can’t thank you enough, and of course to Higoshi. Entering 2021 it will be almost a decade that I’ve got to build a friendship with Higoshi, and seeing how far he’s come from a community of 100 player with simple scripts that worked half the time, it’s been an honor calling you a friend and knowing what you plan to bring to this community in the coming in future projects and updates it’s truly awesome and couldn’t be more proud of you. He might not answer every message, but he’s reading when he can. He spends most days trying to improve and create new things for the community so he can bring something for you all to enjoy, and I can’t wait to see where you’ll be in a few years. So I’m probably sounding repetitive but thanks to everyone whom is apart of this community today, enjoy the holidays and it’s been a pleasure working with everyone making 2020 brighter and more enjoyable each and everyday.

@everyone Update 2 will have a lot of repeatable quests, there will be pretty much no singular quests like in the current map/world rn.

The level cap increase for update 2 will also be important to allow you to obtain 5th skills when they are released Potentially other things too.

I'm estimating there will be 40-50 quests that'll be repeatable.

The demon vs human gamemode is almost complete and will be published today along with the 100k likes codes.
Demon vs Human gamemode allow you to fight people & friends! The options are (2v2,3v3,4v4,5v5,10v10).
In order to gain exp in this gamemode you must survive and kill all your enemies. (If you die during this gamemode you will go back to the gamemode lobby).
Overtime the barrier will shrink in the gamemode.

Gamemode and codes will be released later today we are just testing bugs and such.

EXP Gain:
1,400 EXP - 10v10
700 EXP - 5v5
560 EXP - 4v4
420 EXP - 3v3
280 EXP - 2v2

To enter the demon vs human gamemode you will need to be level 100 and click the gamemode gui.

There might be things that will need to be changed in this gamemode, so we will listen to feedback about the gamemode and make some adjustment.

Currently servers are region locked (Mostly), if the servers don't get filled enough we will force people to join a singular server to fill it as much as possible.

In this gamemode you cannot regen.

@everyone If you think you got false banned, please try to clip it with Medal or something. The Anticheat isnt perfect sometimes and we need to be able to tell apart exploiters who are lying to get unbanned and innocent people.
We are saying this because exploiters have used this excuse to try to get unbanned before. People can get mass unbanned easily if we find a bug in the anticheat anyways, so don't worry about that.

We're saying this because when we investigated, 50%-80% of false ban claims turned out to be legitimate cheaters. In fact some of them even had clips of them exploiting on their Medal.tv account. Pretty hilarious if you ask me.
(Update: some people still doing it now LOL)

You can only get those values by changing something in the game's files/data using a script/exploits. Though there's still a really small possibility there was a false ban. In those cases it will be fixed eventually.

@everyone Was going to make a video about this subject but i'll type it instead. The reason why I haven't been updating the game as of recent is because I believe roblox investors will take down anime games on roblox. Roblox has been public for a while now, but it doesn't seem any change will happen as of now. I was just kind of waiting till roblox goes public and see what they would do, but for now nothing. I'll be back updating the game soon and deliver more content to the game. Though I will say that I'm quitting anime games in general (beside this game) so yeah.

The truth of the matter is, anime games will truly never die. Even though some people make fan games, I want to encourage people to be more original and take inspiration from them. One of my biggest inspirations was Vetex, who took One Piece and Fairy tail to create Arcane Adventures, becoming a completely original and memorable game.
It's true that Investors in Roblox would want to see if their platform is ethical though. If companies see that members of the platform are infringing on their property, they'll take it down. Shinobi Life and Brick Bronze was taken down. Though I can promise you this will never be the end, but a new beginning.

@everyone Above I've posted the order of what I'll be working on with the game this month. (Trying to see if I can update almost daily this month like I did in February, no promises though.). Polishing won't take too long, most likely 1-2 days ish (working on it as we speak.). Bug fixes and balances will be worked on simultaneously. @everyone We will be replacing the current faces for characters in the game. Things like eye colours won't be completely RNG, but hand selected colours which i'm sure you'll guys prefer. The issue's with the NPC's have been fixed. Sorry about that not sure why it broke since I didn't touch the render script, but it's fixed now. @everyone All new skills for this update will be a lot better effects wise than anything I've released before. I've been working for the past month or two with effects and implementing them with combat gameplay. Maybe one day I can go back and remake older skills to make them look better or eventually rpg3 but that won't be released for a long time if I ever start development on that. This update is focused on 5th skills, these skills have a lot more effort put in than any previous update.

I'll make one thing clear bc most of you are young and stuff. I do not care about competition. I want every demon slayer game on roblox to succeeded because at the end of the day it's just roblox games, more of them the better for the consumers on the platform. Not only that all these demon slayer games are financially supporting the owners and developers for their own reasons. At the end of the day everyone is winning. Especially the players. It's so cringe to see people defend roblox games and hate on others for no reason, they aren't going to give you something for saying that. Don't be cringe.

@everyone With this update, there will be a few breathings/demon arts that will have 5th skills. When this update rolls out more 5th skills will be in the works. (Keep in mind 5th skills are most likely the final skills for each breathing/demon art in the game so I'd like to spend more time with them to make sure they're high quality.) This update of course will come with codes, possibly new clothing + accessories, balances, level cap increase to 350 for 5th skills (game-mode will be used to level up not quests).

I'd like to add more with this update, but I know if I did I would sacrifice quality for quantity, which is something I don't want.

Gamemode XP will be buffed when the update rolls in.

@everyone I wanted to type this before the update since I'll probably be busy tomorrow after the update.

I wanted to take the time and say thank you everyone for supporting the game and making a huge impact in my life, without this game I wouldn't be able to do what I love and support my loved ones in my life, so thank you so much for everything.

On the 30th of July [Tomorrow], the game will hit it's 1st year anniversary which blows my mind that the game has been up and updated for almost a year, reaching one year was a personal goal of mine since I didn't want to create a habit of releasing a game and dropping it within a month or two unlike my previous games. This game has been a huge step for me and the other developers, we've all learnt a lot throughout the year. Though it's been a year we've still all got a lot to learn and improve on, and at least for me I know I will keep striving to become a better developer and release updates and more games in the future.

I know things don't last forever and know some day things will come to an end, but I'll always cherish these moments throughout my life.

After the one year anniversary update, we will still continue to support the game via updates and community events, though please consider that we also have other passions, hobbies and such.

After the one year anniversary update, I'll be working on other 5th skills and remaking older stuff (Example insect breathing).

fluid elbow @everyone I wanted to type this before the update since I'll probably be busy to...

I wanna thank everyone who's supported DSRPG2

I met Higoshi around 3-4 years ago, where he invited me to test a (really old) project and felt really passionate about it. I caught on to his passion and I started making tons of Ideas and I really wanted to help in any way I could.
I loved making ideas, but I wanted to help him in any way I could so that he could keep his head forward while I gave him a push from behind. I never thought that would show me what I wanted to be as an adult. I had a talent and passion for something I didn't want to give up. I've already tried typing numerous stuff but all I can do is Thank him. He's an amazing friend and we've had some laughs for the past few years.

I don't really ask for much, but the thing that led me to realize what I loved doing was seeing everyone enjoy playing a game you worked hard on, something you and your friends created together. I've learnt so much over the past few years and I have everyone to thank for it as well.

I think I can speak for the both of us when I say that as long as you enjoy our games, we'll keep trying to make them.

There's no "buff" for the other GP Swords. The other GP Swords "buff" is just boosting your damage from a regular katana to a Nichirin Katana if you join the corps. That way the damage is consistent with your progression.

Update 2.5 Plans:

For update 2.5 I want to add some new content for all players to experience, it'll give XP, but I plan on adding actual rewards to obtain for the new content.

Another part of the update will be new skills which'll add more to the PvP department of the game. With these skills I'll strive to make some unique concepts for them so it'll be fun for players to experience.

I won't go over specifics of the update, but I've already planned some things out.

Development will start soon, want to do some other things before I start updating.

@everyone There's a lot of "Free Discord Nitro" scam links going around. Make sure not to listen or press on any links which say that there is a free nitro give away. They are scams and will steal your account and use it to scam other people. If you see any links such the the one in the image ping a staff member to and they will get rid of the person who posts it and the post it self to make sure that others don't fall for it either.

@everyone I am back. Just released an update right now which is mainly Bug Fixes + Quality improvements. Next few days will probably fix more bugs, but yes I am working on update 3.

Update 3 will have a different schedule from Update 1 and Update 2. While Update 1+2 took a month to work on then release it all at once, but for Update 3's content will release is multiple packs. Example releasing doma art update, then working on stone breathing or something then releasing when it's done. Basically releasing things when they are done instead of releasing everything at once.

@everyone Status update on developing: Things are going smoothly, I have fully designed a new demon art with the complete move sets, just waiting on some animations to script it. Currently in the meantime while I wait for those animations, I am updating older effects of my previous skills. Stone breathing model has been rigged, but will be worked on when the new demon art is done. I'm attempting to release multiple BDA's this month though can't promise anything. I also want to add a new map for demon slayer (won't replace old one, but rather an extension). The first part of the new map will be the city done by @charred mural , hopefully it'll be complete soon. [There will be an outskirts of the city yes.] After I get some of the new skills/arts/breathing's done, I'll probably add some polish + slice of life changes similar to update 1. (Example animated leaves on tree's).

On all serious news, there's a socially engineered malware that's spreading around discord. This is very real and it's reached Roblox people.
It revolves around your friend's accounts being stolen, then them asking you to do a favor and help test their game or code or whatever.
This is a dupe. (why would you ask someone to test your tic tac toe game you can probably make in 10 minutes and test yourself)
This targets game developers specifically, but it's something to look out for. Don't run shady zip file exe files.

@everyone During the Halloween event, there MIGHT [NOT FULLY CONFIRMED] be a limited time demon art which isn't cannon. Since it's non-canon and for the Halloween event, I will not be updating that demon art with new skills after releasing it. The demon art is more for fun instead of a serious pvp demon art.

What I mean it's non-canon, the demon art is not from the anime or manga, It is something I came up with myself.

#

This demon art will be the only demon art you can't re-roll for. Since it's non-canon I want players to have the choice to have it.

@everyone Final @ for a few hours. Everything in the Halloween update is free, though you have to earn them in-game, meaning you have to actually play to get the Halloween rewards. There are quite a few things you can try go for in this update, so if you want a lot of stuff, yes it'll take more time. For some they might want a few things, but for others they want a lot, so the event is grindy if your trying to get a lot of things. I've added a few different methods just in case you feel bored of a certain method to obtain Halloween stuff. The halloween event will end on the 15th of November.

@everyone Made candies more common when looking around the map for them + add more candies overall around the map that spawns!
