I believe there should be some other conditions to unlock the beowulf hidden outfit. Since I already tried 10 times, no matter how many exploded and what difficulty it is.

I got it on my first Beowulf Nightmare playthrough by just playing like I do normally, but I did start with the explosion Talent and updated it to legendary fast.

Other than that I wasn't particularly ignite focused. Had bunch of offensive defense talents, extra spins, spin procs power and used the 2nd ultimate.

Don't remember exactly but I had maybe 30k "other" damage (read ignite damage)

I just got aladdin's on nightmare duo dying on the last regular boss (not baba yaga) I had all my wishes done at each map and it worked, I guess you just need to have the 3 wishes on each map and not especially win it.

The answer is yes. You don't have to do the final hit transformed as wukong to get the hidden. You just need to be transformed at the time when a chapter boss dies.

We still lack few informations about Piper and Beowulf but they don't seem to be very hard to unlock.
-# I'd say the most annoying is Aladdin as it's a bit long to do and you have to keep track of it. Most of the other hidden skin unlockes happens naturally.
-# Scarlet can be difficult in solo if you're not used to her human form

You don't need explosive rats, invasive blast, leeching charm or rat king for this (I didn't have them).

I'm pretty sure it's about dealing a lot of damage with rats, so anything helps overall but is more advised than required.

Mel took me two runs. First time I had just healing and failed because I had 9.5k healed and 1.5k BLOCKED by the bubble from defense talent, my healing was crazy good but I just didn't take enough damage to heal enough. 2nd time with the shield talent + persistent wisp got me way over 20k shielding since shielding seems to count even if it doesn't prevent damage.

Snow Queen one took me few tries as well. I didn't do snowstorm or the ghoul cave, but instead used the Ice Clone starting talent to apply chill. Solo nightmare, group enemies between nodes on right hand side of the 1st chapter map, circle couple times to get them bunched up and then leave clone in the middle and shatter when clone applies chill. Not sure if I needed additional tries because I shattered too few enemis on first two tries or because I abandoned at lvl 1. The succesful try I abandoned at lvl 2 since someone (Scypham) here suggested it could matter.

Before that I did try one usual nightmare solo run with snowstorm, but it seems that in just normal solo play it is not that likely to get enough enemies alive on the screen at once if not intentionally pulling multiple groups

Yeah I agree, playing solo is hard for this one. When you just have to go for any ghoul POI in a 4-man party to get easily 15 targets 🤷
We're still unsure about the number of enemies thou 😩

I agree, when the boss is killed the transformation is automatically canceled for the cutscene

after 2 others games where Wukong was transformed when bosses were killed but the last hit wasn't done by him and the player didn't receive the hidden outfit, I'm 99% sure that Wukong has to do the last hit

Break the Ice, I shattered 14 enemies and it didn't work but I did shatter 15 or more and it worked... Oh I see Vladi posted the Shater 15 so that makes sense.

if it's the condition, choosing Stimulant Vibes is a good idea, rats don't die, so you can make damages over time

i did it after kiting the birds in chapter 2 for a while until i felt there were 15+ of them, they were pretty squishy so snowstorm into shatter killed all of them instantly so idk if it has to do with killing them

im having problems with aladdin skin, i do 3 wishes each chapter 1 for each type and it doesnt work, did it both with abandoning in chapter 3 and finishing chapter 3 (adventure mode)

I did not kill them, and I loaded in and got it done in the first chapter. I increased the difficulty to make sure the little ghouls survived me defensing through them and some of them died but not all. On the lower difficulties when I tried especially the ghouls they would die if I defensed through them twice, at night maybe attacking the trees or the big spider would be beneficial just because the spiders, at most with 3 people, spawn 2 spiders every 30 seconds. Idk if they die to a single defense. Something's I believe would help is frost queen (not required) and I think it's called Frost Surge, the power that increases your power size

My guess is that defense or power killed at least one of them but unsure. I am right there with you this skin is a little annoying to get I did suicide for the skin as well completion is definitely not a requirement just a lot of ads. Right now the skins I need are Carmille darkness difficulty and Beowolf ignite kills and I am not a fan of what I've seen Beowolf's requirement is.

Get the ice storm ultimate, play nightmare (technically possible on other diffs but nightmare spawns more enemies), look for Ghouls or spiders if you have the patience. three should do it. let em spawn as much as they can, until you're completely sure theres anough enemies. ult then trait.

If you manage to find the wooden tower with ramps they usually spawn ghouls with a bunch of those little spawn, just gather them up and you've got it

Can confirm, had two runs with piper, one with 11 cooldown relics on e, and the other on a similar path. Both worked to save the rats to try and keep them alive while using the ultimate as well. So the only thing left is to just spawn like 1,000 rats or something like that

Just kite the giant ghouls and force a lot of spawns. Hopefully the horde is just big enough for you to slide around then power to get it.

Hmm... Got some slightly contradicting data about Wukong's Hidden skin. Just did my own unlock of it.

I did get the unlock but I did not last hit every boss while transformed (at 3rd chapter boss I killed one hand while transformed to Wolf/Scarlet and 2nd hand during same stagger phase while Wukong). All other bosses I did last hit while transformed. This somewhat contradicts what I've seen others report.

Other things I did during the run was that I entered the boss fights while transformed (chapters 1-3, not baba yaga) and killed Baba Yaga while transfomed too (was transformed to Piper during ending scene).

I also noted that I did transform to each hero at least once during the run.

As funny side note I got the day/night transition between Wolf/Scarlet during the 3rd chapter boss because I crossed the 50% hp threshold during transfiguration.

EDIT: sadface no Nightmare completion for Divine Beverage despite having it and completing the run on Nightmare

I was the whole game trying to make the rats do the last hit to enemies, trying to make the rats survive the encounter and stay attacking the most time possible

I just tested Snow Queen with dying instead of abandoning and it worked. Before this run, 6 or 7 tries failed (choosing abandon).
Unfortunately, now I'm not entirely sure if the enemies need to die with the shatter, as I think this is also the first time I killed all the minor ghouls (in the Ghoul boss cave)

As @steel musk the most solid theory so far revolves around keeping your rats alive with the Special talent. You should try that (more than anything else rat related. You don't even need horde it seems).
My advice would be to do a special oriented build (one if not the easiest build), and try to keep your rat alive inside of it for the longest time possible.

As far as I know the best choice is :

• Transforms when boss is close to die
• Do the last hit (better do it solo to validates that) (50% sure)
• You need to be transformed at the time of death (90% sure)
  You will be unmorph automatically when boss dying cinematic starts (that's normal)
  You do not need to do other difficulty than adventure, I'd suggest that.
  For 3rd I'd advice to do 1~2 tumour as they can be annoying coming back to life.

It's 9 total to use, probably do it while timer is running (outside the sandman area) but not sure about that.

Tricky part about that is that you need to do it while in combat afaik

I unlocked unstable skin without overclock ult and did the large family + ult dummies unlock during same run.

You could try prebuilding all the dummies out of combat, pull monster in and then dismantle all within 1s. Or pull big tree and have it kill them all simultaneously.

The option I used was Magnetic Hammer + Power hits all dummies when shielded.
Prepare the fight by summoning 3 dummies.
When you enter the fight just Defense, then hold Power into an enemy to blow them all 3 at once.
As @cerulean delta said, it is required that you are in fight to complete the hidden skin challenge, so make sure to have more than one enemy, or one with a very large health pool

I played a TON of wukong (Carmilla is my favourite, but hateable wukong is fun to play!). I also play transmutation every game.
I definitely had games, solo nightmare, where I killed every boss while transformed. Hell, it's practically the norm in any game where wukong is just barely scraping by (common when you skip his power).

More importantly, the game I got it, I certainly wasn't transformed on all boss kills. I was just regular wukong when I killed both the claws, and baba yaga.

I had assumed that the requirement was to turn into every single character?

(I was just checking whether the game can 'bug', blocking unlock attempts, since I heard a rumour)

To add - I might have triggered another character's secret skin unlock 'flag' while turning into them and it gave wukongs after the game because I was wukong? If that's a thing?

I took every single Rat Talent and completed my run, ending in 105,314 damage which accounted for 27% of my total damage, and it still didn't unlock, so it would appear 100k damage isn't a good threshold, and given some people are unlocking it after/during the first act, it seems like it may be based on percentage of damage done.

@still granite: I did another run today where I went out of my way to deal a higher percentage of Rat Damage (i.e.: as much as possible, I did not Attack, and would just kite to amass Rats before using Trait). I got all of the Rat Talents again, and won my run with 187,793 (60%) Trait Damage, but still no Outfit. Presumably, this also led to more Trait Kills as well, so it doesn't seem like any of Total Damage, Damage Percent, Taking All Rat Talents, or # of Trait Kills has a direct bearing on this, or I should have already unlocked this... I really wish they would just list out the Requirements for Outfits.

One of my guess is : "Keep your (X ?) rat(s) alive for X seconds (after using trait in combat ?)", the skin name being "Rat lover", so it might be related to "Keeping the rats alive" or something.

I had all of the Rat Talents, so yes, I had Stimulant Vibes, and I was largely going through Act 2 with most of the same Rats because I would just accrue Rats, do Trait, Special... I had multiple Special charges, so Special and Trait again to move the Rats to any enemies that didn't die from the original unleashing of Traits, and so on...

there's bugs with unlocking hidden outfits despite meeting requirements. I had trouble with beowulf and geppetto not unlocking. The issue resolved itself somehow and I don't remember exactly why. I do play a mixture of solo and coop.

I am not playing wukong myself but he is using transformation all game and when boss has 10% hp I just move away and let him kill it while transformed

Tried beowulf ignite last hit on master nightmare yesterday on fresh save, but it turned out to be less trivial than i thought. I did Ch1 without using trait or picking any trait that would accidentally ignite anything and only used trait on the last boss.

Even with Furnace talent and beefy ignite I ended up missing the kill by 1 tick of ignite and all the ways to apply ignite deal hit damage also so I ended up forced to kill the boss with hit damage.

I'll try to get it down again later. I'm purposefully also not using the explody starting talent to confirm if it is the ignite or not. If I don't get it with the ignite last hit without the talent, I'll then try the same but with the talent to see if it is not the ignite but exploding the boss with starting talent (if someone has evidence of unlock without explody talent, please let me know. I know there were few bugged cases of people unlocking it while playing gepetto or wukong but I'm not sure if those were multiplayer with beowulf or if bug is fixed)

I've seen conflicting damage numbers for the unlock so it might not be damage based. My current suspicion is that it would have to do with total number of enemies exploded during the run, but I think I'm done with testing today. If there is a number of enemies to be exploded it is definitely more than 100. I stopped counting somewhere after about 100 enemies exploded and that wasn't unlock. (did this one on easiest difficulty, abandoned at beginning of chapter 2)

a1 with lower difficulty gets less enemies exploded since little critters almost never explode because if they die to the hit that applies ignite they don't die ignited. And pigs daytime death animation doesn't look like beowulf explosion

Another data point. Darkness difficulty, abandoned at start of chapter3. Unlocked beowulf skin.
Not sure how many enemies I exploded during the run but I'm pretty sure I didn't get any group explosions larger than during the ghoul testing.

Things I did to maximize explosions.

• Explosive Fire starter talent (obviously)
• Furnace Talent for longer ignites
• Fire Wings Talent. Low damage and apply ignite so I don't accidentally oneshot enemies before they are ignited
• Fiery Slash to keep ignite on tankier enemies without Trait
• Vorpal Blade. Kill enemies faster without making them easier to accidentally oneshot. Ignite ticks can proc Vorpal.
  • edit: oneshotting problem has been fixed, nowdays enemies do explode even if the igniting hit kills them
• Darkness difficulty to make enemies bit tankier and more numerous makes it easier for me to explode more of them.

I can't remember seeing any. Dekahedron posted two runs if you scroll up a bit where one did not unlock and other did and both had multiple rat talents legendary and similar ult damage with the unlock actually being lower

I might try to do the unlock with minimal rat talents and see if it could be something related to trait only and doable without talents. If it has something to do with number of rats spawned then it could be that either Horde or Invasive Blast is required, but I'd have to test that

I did some more runs with Beowulf to narrow down the number range for explosions. I'm fairly certain it is 200 enemies exploded or very close to it.

Similar method as before but this time I recorded the run so I could do tap count of enemies exploded while rewatching at 1.5x speed.
Saved at end of Ch1, took copy of the save and then continued a bit more in Ch2 and abandoned.
Then restored the save from copy but abandoned in Ch2 without exploding monsters.

Rough counts of explosions were 209 which did unlock the outfit. And 188 which did not unlock the outfit. (numbers slightly inaccurate but you get the idea)

Screenshots are from the run with ~209 explosions (probably undercounted slightly)

I've done some group runs as well, but we've had trouble unlocking the outfit while playing in group. Occasionally when ignited monster dies the host sees it explode but client doesn't

I compared many pictures that unlocked/failed piper hidden and found something common

All successful attempt make every rat talent picked legendary
And people cleared the run with at least one non-legendary rat talents failed
So here’s my idea: the actual requirement of his hidden outfit was “pick at least X talent related to rat and make ALL of them LEGENDARY”
Btw my pic may be the minimum since it only has 3 talents that related to rat

This run of mine is also with less talents, which is weird.
I have VOD of this run and it seems that I didn't have Astral Shrine, but I got all rat talent from level ups given to me as Common rarity so I had to upgrade them more during the run

Whereas my tests that were based on this save, the Explosive rat started as Epic, Horde as Rare, others as common except ult talent started rare couple times

Possible that it could also count "Dream Shards spent on rat talents" (edit: I think I have ruled this out now) or "Rat talent upgrade count", I kind of tried to test those out on the above save but couldn't get the unlock with less than 6 talents anyway (5 if not counting ult). Maybe if I hit Leeching Rats I could do it with less talents legendary, but not sure. EDIT: oops the save does not even have Leeching Charm unlocked so I literally cannot hit it with this one.

I also notice that I have Dreamcatcher that makes buying talent upgrades cheaper

There seems to be something related to either defeating bosses or having legendary talents when chapter changes. If I do talent upgrades in Ch2 and quit I don't get unlock, but if I take same upgrades and defeat the Ch2 boss and quit in Ch3 then I do get the unlock. I also just got Romeo’s on Adventurer difficulty in a duo with Juliet. I was trying to test if it was “block x amount of damage” so I took a bunch of defence talents and charges so I could spam it off cool-down. Unfortunately, at the end, Juliet basically one-shot the Avalon boss with my roses and I took no damage 😂 (I did in the chapter 1 and 2 bosses, just not the 3rd).

I’m assuming based on the fact it’s called “Untouchable Duelist” that it’s killing a boss without taking any damage, but can definitely say it isn’t an entire run / chapter with no hits taken cause I definitely got hit, a lot, across every chapter except for that final boss

i got the skin while i was doing a guns & roses build with shadow round. i haven't put a lot of time into juliet so i'm not really an expert on the mechanics but i noticed that perfect shot rose explosions seem to inherit most properties of the perfect shot itself, such as the guaranteed crit and shadow round vulnerability to enemies hit

if these explosion hits are flagged as perfect shots themselves there's a good chance they can also proc the requirements for the hidden

my internet is super bad right now so i can't really test this myself but it'd be very interesting to know

Just got Juliet's skin when I got (at least) 10 perfect shot kills in a row then abandoned - I killed a few extra for good measure. I weakened some enemies with regular fire before killing them. Tested a couple other things first which didn't work: 1) 10 perfect shots in a row without hitting any enemies. 2) 10 perfect shots in a row on enemies, but not 10 kills.

Hello! I've been trying to unlock Beowulf's hidden skin for a while now... I know it's related to the "Explosive fire" starter talent, and I've read many potential requirements all over internet. I've tried many things : exploding +15 enemies in a row ; exploding 200+ enemies in a single run ; exploding 100+ enemies per map.
I've tried changing difficulty setting (without modifier) and I've tried it on solo AND with teammates but nothing seems to do it... Am I missing something ?

• Oneshotting enemies kills them before they get ignited = no explosion This one has been fixed
• Pigs have their own explosion during day = This does not count towards achievement
• In multiplayer this achievement may be bugged

Hi, I've been trying to get Beowulf's hidden outfit, to no avail. I've tried everything I saw on Reddit posts, on Steam and on this Discord server. Explode 10 enemies at once, explode 200 enemies in a run. I've also tried different ways to make the enemies explode. Truth is I'm lost, and this is starting to get frustrating. Last run played I forced the timer in each and every chapter trying to explode as many enemies as I could, with no success (here are the screenshots that prove it). Try darkness or higher difficulty for the beowulf. Adventure makes it hard to not kill enemies in one shot (if first hit kills them, they die before ignite happens, which means they don't explode). At higher difficulties it is easier to explode weak enemies like small ghouls and birds

I did a darkness run with my old method just now (abandoning around lvl 7 which is 1 level later than my previous earliest unlock) and did not get it either 🤷‍♂️
I'm pretty sure the condition is cumulative since I previously had an old save where one could explode ~20 birds in Chapter 2 to go over some 200+ threshold and get the unlock. That mid-run save is not compatible with newer version sadly.

I'll do few more runs later today and see if I can still do it. The failed run today was without upgrading the explosion talent and with minimal damage scaling, but damage dealt with trait was still more than some of my successful runs in previous patches, and I think number of enemies exploded too. If it is not bugged and the condition is off then it at least is not too far off and works as heuristic.

It seems to me that they have at some point fixed the issue with mobs not exploding if they are one shot by hit that ignites

Are there any confirmed unlocks of Beowulf skin after the Hourglass patch? I've done the unlock many times solo before the Romeo & Juliet patch, but trying it now the same method seems to not work

That is definitely a bug if it happened :D
Shouldn't be possible to unlock hidden outfit with modifiers in play.
There have been some other weird ones in past like people unlocking outfits for wrong characters when playing Wukong or people unlocking outfits in multiplayer for characters that other players played, but I think most of those have been fixed 🤔

There has to be some sort of an issue for sure. Since I tried farming this skin over and over and never got it. For example I always wait for night so that pigs dont explode, trees spawn spiders etc.

I can’t seem to unlock Snow Queen’s either, I’m almost 100% sure I should have - one run I saved one 2 ghoul and one 3 ghoul camp to after I got Snowstorm, ran around until max little ghouls spawned, then ran into the middle, used Snowstorm and shattered right after, still didn’t get it. Is there something I’m missing?

Maybe it is bugged too? I did a short test now using ice clone for applying chill and shattering afterwards and didn't get it. This method is bit more unreliable though so can't say for sure. Two big ghouls don't spawn quite enough (unless you have some pre-spawn ghouls on top maybe). Camp with 3 big ghouls should spawn enough afaik.

if bug is related to some change in how status effects work under the hood then it would make sense that is both Beo and Snow Queen

or kill effects, although some sources claim the trait does not have to kill with Snow Queen and I never double checked that

I found just paying attention to the damage numbers is a good way to track if you’re getting them. I basically loaded up an adventure run and focused only on getting perfect shots. Just find a timing that works for you - I held the power button and went “1-2-shoot” inside my head

Condition is not damage related. It counts legendary rat talents upon learning / entering chapter. To get it you need to pick rat talents and upgrade them to legendary early.

Romeo: perfectly K.O. a master nightmare. Romeo have many block abilities to help. Boss have no time limit so be patient. I think faceless nightmare is the easiest? Easier with wife.
Juliette: perfect shot many times in a row and kill enemy with each of them. Same, be patient. A bit easier than husband.

I just unlocked Juliets hidden outfit. I ran a solo game in adventure mode, just killing enemies with perfect shots all the time. I did not manage to hit 10 perfect shots in a row. The only thing I achieved, was to kill 10 or more enemies with perfect shots. I think this is the requirement, to unlock the outfit.

I quit the game before the boss of chapter one and got the achievement. Maybe the requirement is to kill more than one enemy with a perfect shot at once, ten times or more. As still as I can remember I also did this in my run.

I've unlocked Pied Piper's hidden outfit yesterday, after reading a bunch of possible guesses on subreddits. Just in case there's anyone compiling data in order to put a nail on what is the pre-requisite for it to unlock, I was screen capturing my runs statistics thinking if it can help in any way. Gonna post them images next!

I focused in a rat build, maxed all I could of rats' talents. Most of the damage was by trait, avoided exploding rats stuff (this is just my guess, but if you love them you don't nuke them? 😆)

Snow Queens hidden outfit is shattering 15+ enemies at once afaik. really easy if you find the ghoul camp with stilts on 2 player co-op, wait for maybe a minute for the large ghouls to spawn lots of smaller ones, and then defense and shatter.
If its later game, snowstorm and a quick shatter on a bird nest works too (make sure the storm doesnt kill the birds).
Again, co-op makes this one way easier.

Beowulfs hidden outfit is related to exploding a certain amount of enemies with the explosive fire(?) starting talent. Don't know the specific amount but playing an adventure run with an ignite build based around this talent is usually enough. If you're playing co-op, you can unlock this skin even if you aren't playing beowulf, as long as you explode enemies that beowulf has ignited with this talent.

Pied Piper is 100k rat damage afaik. when i unlocked it I DID use exploding rats, and ended up with 89k trait damage and 22k ult damage. (first ever piper run). So i'm assuming the plague of rats ult counts

Scarlet is complete the game on any difficulty while only using her human form. easy enough.

I think Melusine is 10k healing/shield. healing only counts towards the total if its actually healing you. If you haven't taken damage, the healing you get won't count toward this total.

Aladdin is one of each wish in each chapter. (so 3 wishes per chapter)

epilogue not included

Gepetto is have 6 puppets at one time, so an extra ult charge and mecha-puppet, plus the extra dummy from large family. You don't have to be in combat or complete the game, I unlocked it in chapter 3 after getting an ult charge from the wolf miniboss before quitting

Sun Wukong is beat each chapter boss while transformed into another character. Had no issues with this one, just used ult when the boss was low and finished it off

Carmilla is staying in trait for 1 minute+

easy enough with special charges and constantly attacking enemies (puncture helps too)

Romeo is beat a boss hitless. easier to do on chapter 2 than the other chapters

Juliet is 10 perfect power shots in a row. easy way to tell if its perfect is to use the damage numbers or the talent that makes perfect shots apply vulnerable. ideally aim for more than 10 just in case, as i did 10 (i counted) and it didnt give me the outfit (most likely because I missed one), so just keep going until you feel like you've got it

Merlin is complete the trinity talent quest. Haven't confirmed if you still need to pick excalibur last, but ig do it last just in case. ideally aim to get each of the 3 legendarys from a side quest

Mostly correct. Few things could be more accurate

Beowulf the number of enemies you need to explode is about 200. This used to work, then was bugged and has since been fixed. Multiplayer may still be wonky(?).

Merlin trinity talent needs to be completed at Chapter 3 Quest (Morgan). Used to be bugged. Has been fixed since.

I'm aware of the exploded enemies count, I just didn't state it outright as it isn't entirely necessary. no ones going to count how many enemies they explode after all. The Piper thing is new to me, but it makes much more sense. I did forget to specify that chapter 3 quest HAD to be the last place to get the 3rd item for Merlin.

also got juliet one not hitting 10 perfect shots but rather getting x kills with perfect shots (not in a row but got several at once)

doesnt have to be only using perfect shots ten times in a row, you can use all your other abilities as long as you hit your perfect shots

ive done nightmare and found the holy trinity but i still havent gotten the outfit

dont know if its actually required to do it that way but thats how it worked for me on multiple occasions
