#Shaders/texture packs

- Client sided
- Java resource packs can in theory be converted into a bedrock one, we have the pack converter project for this use case, shaders are not something we plan to convert, it's likely incredibly difficult
- You can add bedrock resource packs (which can contain shaders) in the packs directory of Geyser (Typically either /plugins/Geyser-Spigot/packs or /config/Geyser-Fabric/packs to name some examples)
Where do i add shaders
Same location as resource packs, bedrock puts shaders in the resource pack
ok another question lol sorry , since your saying i can convert resource packs but not necessarily shaders what happens if i convert a resources pack which has a shader in it
Well, Java resource packs don't contain shaders so, you can't
oh ok well where do i convert
There is PackConverter, it's got a UI and all but, still in the works
and just to be clear i can also convert texture packs right
Texture packs are the only thing pack converter will actually convert
ohh ok
So does it have some bugs and stuff
^ if you would like you can test it
potentially
but only the UI, the actual conversion shouldn't be buggy
So after i get my files for my shaders and texture packs i just put em in the packs folder and restart the server
yeah pretty much
Alright ty so much and yeah i wanna see the converter
You'll need to download it from a PR (so, requires a GitHub account)
I'm really hoping to get this UI out for everyone else soon but, this will have to work
and, just to make sure, this texture pack isn't for custom items right? Just modifying vanilla textures
does github work on phones? I remember trying something with it and it didnt work
Yeah
oh are you wanting to convert the pack on your phone?
i dont got a pc lol yeah
I do have a mac but does it work
Yk apple doesn’t always make their devices compatible with stuff
you can run jar files on Mac yeah
alr great
Lol thats good then
This PR changes out PackConverter's CLI for a GUI instead, adding the debug parameter to starting up to allow debugging within the GUI. This PR also allows using just the command line with ...
!!prdownload
You will need to have Java installed beforehand
Not java edition, java the like uh
The runtime
ok i gotta go I’ll ping you when im back
