#Geyser with Hybrid Server

We wouldn't support that still, hybrid servers would probably still cause some issues. However setting up a proxy beforehand (so bungee, velocity, ViaProxy or standalone) would likely improve compatibility
I used to have a hybrid server with Geyser-Standalone and Geyser on Velocity at one point. Bungeecord should work as well. It isn't officially supported tho still like the above comment
Can you possibly help me with the setup? I have serious problems with it. I've been doing this for 10 hours.
I use amp as a user interface for the servers
try using this setup guide https://geysermc.org/wiki/geyser/setup?host=self&platform=standalone
Btw, you're server needs to be joinable with vanilla for geyser to be able to work with it.
also, sometimes you might be able to get floodgate to work on the server, the mod or plugin
when trying the mod, you can look for the version for your specifc minecraft version from here https://modrinth.com/mod/floodgate/versions
and if the server is below 1.21.5, you need viaversion on the server
The end server does not need Geyers od
? Geyser isn't needed on the server, but floodgate optionally is if thats what you mean
I have to have floodgate on the end server
?
What are you confused about?
Geyser doesn't need to be on the server since you have it as a proxy, and floodgate CAN be on the server for better bedrock compatibility, but you can also skip it if it doesn't work
How does that work? I use a hybrid server if I don't use flood gate onnection: If you wish to use IP forwarding, please enable it in your BungeeCord config as well!
See below for details and possible fixes
This error is caused either by BungeeCord/Waterfall not having IP forwarding enabled, or by a Floodgate mismatched key.pem from the proxy to the backend servers.
This could also be caused by send-floodgate-data: being enabled without Floodgate being present on all backend servers.
For more information on how to setup Floodgate API on proxies; run !!proxies in #bot-spam
I'm super confused by what you're saying but the bot gave you a response
you tell me I need floodgate but it is not necessary
it is better to have it
If I don't have floodgate I can't get onto the server and if I install floodgate it doesn't work because it's a hybrid server and according to Geyers it's not needed
what hybrid server software are you using and what version?
mohist 1.20.1
You should be able to just setup geyser standalone with this guide try using this setup guide https://geysermc.org/wiki/geyser/setup?host=self&platform=standalone
and try using the floodgate plugin, if it works, then you can set it up by using this guide (do it after setting up geyser standalone) https://geysermc.org/wiki/floodgate/setup?platform=standalone
floodgate does not work on the hybrid server
then don't use it
but bedrock players will need to login with a java account
unless its an offline mode server with auth-type as offline in geyser config
okay thanks for the help
