Floodgate not working

So I use a geyser extension called mcxboxbroadcast so my brother can join, however when he joins, he has to login with a java account, which is weird because I have floodgate, and I contacted the extensions support and they said that the plugin doesn't interfere with geyser, so I want to ask here why doesn't floodgate work? I installed the newest version of both of them.
