Bedrock friend unable to connect to the server 1.21

I am hosting the server off my own computer

I havent had anyone else try and join the java world, but i am able to join the java server using ipv4

have you tried connecting another java client?

make sure you are using your PUBLIC IP which is different than your local ip

and make sure your port forward is broadcasting to the correct port and location (ip address)

so i tried having a friend join the server using both my ip and ipv4

both resulted in "getsockopt"

ALSO please ensure your network is port forwarded to 25565 AND 19132

i also recommend downloading a plugin called “via version” which allows newer minecraft to connect to your server

Thanks for the videos I’ll give them a watch, what happened in the end is we convinced him to just get Java in his laptop

So we just use essential now
