FLOODGATE
0.15.7
Yes
does that happens when the player types "/" for a command?
No, just wallking around, or chopping trees, or digging in sand, I've tested myself and it happens around 10 seconds after they are logging in
show us the kick message
how do I do that?
join with bedrock and wait tell you get kicked
I dont see a message, the client is crashed when i'm disconnected
oh really
any lag before that?
No lag at all
You leveled up to level 1!

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
do you hava a clue? or do you want to know more?
i don't know this exactly, but i think it's because of other plugins, that's all what i can help you with
yeah, thats something i was thinking too but how to find out which one...
there are some plugins that might relate to your problem, weak anti-cheats are one of them
i"m to noob to this matter... is there a wat to find out which one that is?
because it's a crash, no i don't think that you might know what plugin it is, kicks kicks will show the plugin that caused it
kicks kicks is a mod? command?
no no not that, i meant the player getting kicked from the server and getting the kick message with an error or something
ohhhh ok, i need to figure that out...
your problem is wierd and am not an offcial support :D, you may wait for a developer or try to figure it out
i hope somebody else have more tips and trucs too, I cant believe i'm the only one
ohhh really.. dang!! i need to search than i guess
I've remove almost all my mods but the issue is still going on... I give up! This is not working I guess
Nobody else has a clue to my issue?
You leveled up to level 2!
The client is kicked, or they actually crash?
the client actual crash indeed
Could you send your server IP and what to do to reproduce the crash? I'd link to join and try to capture some packets
Sorry for the late reply... Working night shift is messing my live a bit
Address: 45.85.250.88
bedrock Port: 26567
Java Port: 26565
Just dig a dirt block with your hands, your clients will crash, walking around after 5 mins, your client will crash
@cosmic escarp did you succeed with logging in on the server?
I have been busy this weekend updating to 1.20.70 so haven't had a chance to join. ill take a look now
yep that sure does instantly crash my client
when i try to join with standalone i get...
I'm of course even more confused given it says you're running geyser fabric
EUHMMM..... How is that possible, i really use FABRIC indeed, no forge for me
No problem, i was just curious of course.
Looking in to it
i put this ip: 45.85.250.88 and port 25565
Thats the Java port, pure fabric, i checked all the mods ๐ฆ
this is what happens when i try to join with a vanilla java client so
We don't currently have automated responses for the detected errors!
and on fabric:
if vanilla clients cannot join your server then bedrock won't be able to either

Players: 0/4
Version: 1.20.1 (763)
Unable to find Bedrock server at the requested address
@sudden moth you're sure that's the correct ip?
Ok, so thats a start to find a solution
Yes. 100% I'm logged in on the hosting party and that's what it said
seeing as its giving 1.20.1 as the version
otherwise this is also possible:
eu6285856.g-portal.game
nexusepulum.g-portal.works
This is not my server
well... thats the ip you said: 45.85.250.88
are you sure the port is 25565 and there's not an srv record?
yes, I see that but in my client I use: 45.85.250.88:26565 and I'm logged in on my server, so I really don't understand it (this is JAVA)

For bedrock i use: 45.85.250.88:26567
Oh, I was so confused about what went wrong... After years of playing, I thought I could do this, but it's harder than I expected.
well using my own geyser instance im not crashing immediately like i was on bedrock using yours
oop nevermind there i go
just took longer
Looking forward what you think what the problem is
You leveled up to level 3!
idk this is a tough one since now im just not crashing
On java everything works without issues, what ever you choose to do...
on Bedrock everything goes wrong as soon as you start mining resources
well ive gotten past that part somehow... twice i joined broke blocks crashed right then
ohhh thats even more weird I guess
yeah idk im just not crashing anymore on my standalone instance
Unable to find Java server at the requested address

on yours though i still crash
java is reachable on 45.85.250.88:26565, is that the issue?
ohhhh ok,
I guess I did something wrong
and on yours as well I'm not after joining a few times
so idk if it only happens when the chunks first load in or something
it happens the whole time with the bedrock players, so i wonder what is different with your version and theirs
im not really sure. could you try leaving so the spawn chunks unload when i leave?
i'm gone
yeah idk what to really do then... definetely did crash a few times but most of the time i dont
That's so weird. I want your bedrock client instead of the one I have because it's crashing the whole time as soon if i'm breakiing some block, even when i'm waiting for a few minuts it happens. And not only with me but also others from multiple locations...
what platform is yours?
But if you dont know it... I guess we dont kwno it either
From the Windows Store using the Windows 11 x64?
But I've got apple players too ans also phone users
doing my best to crash but its not happening xD
hmmm wait
do you have a mod that messes with tress?
haha, that's something different... Let me login to see if it happens to me too att his moment
because when i broke one the whole tree dissappeared and that crashed me
there i went ๐
hmm i see a pattern maybe but im not entirely sure. seems to happen only when i pick up items that are new to the geyser instance
yep... thats it
thats... really odd lol
you found the reason, so thats amazing already!
very impressive , haha
I think it will make no sense now but hope you will find a reason for this strange behaviour
yeah thats a tough one... seems to happen right when the item is picked up though
@sudden moth could you try with this build and see if you crash? basically try to pick up as many new items in survival as possible
Sorry, I fell asleep yesterday! It was 4AM for me ๐
But I've removed the snapshot version, installed your version, and rebooted the server, so if you want, you can give it a try ๐
I've tried a few times to log in, log out, break some blocks, and walk; for now, I have zero issues! So, whatever you have done, you have found the solution!
Is this coming in the upcoming updates too? Or Should I never update till further notice?
it's already been updated
Your amazing good!! Thank you for that...
the issue was the server sending empty recipe update packets which apparently crashes bedrock
note i still was not able to craft anything on bedrock (not sure if that's intentional or not)
but i wasnt even able to join java and see if that's the case since this
ohhhhhhhhhhh? Really... Euhm... I wasn't aware of this... On Java, you can craft things... Let me have a look at that.
You leveled up to level 4!
Thats not intentional, so next issue ๐ฆ
well if you can get joining on a purely vanilla client working id check if thats the case on there as well
Yes, thank you for the tip! I will try to get it working like that
So I found out what it is; as soon as I've put in a mod that does something with blocks (any till now, it doesn't matter which one), then it will not work in bedrock. Is there a way to get those recipes in bedrock or to disable those recipes within bedrock via geyser?
cc @shrewd sage ^
are all recipes broken, or just those that output these custom blocks?
All
ยฏ_(ใ)_/ยฏ
.
!!logs gonna need logs for this one.. if the client aint getting any recipes, geyser should be complaining about that
An entire log file is a very useful way of debugging any issues with plugins. Sometimes a snippet of a log doesn't tell the whole story!
You can upload your log file into this channel, or you can use https://mclo.gs/ to censor all IPs present in your log.
For BungeeCord (not Waterfall) there is a proxy.log.0 file in the root and for everything else it is latest.log in logs folder.
Euhm... i will clarify these a bit,
Situation 1: No mods. Java and bedrock both allow you to craft things with all recipes.
Situation 2: Just one mod (for example, "integrated-circuit") Java works, but bedrock doesn't have any recipes anymore.
^ send a full log please for the second case
I'm trying to get you all the logs! Because I don't know how I did it, but it happened!
Here you have a few uncensored ones
If you want to login @shrewd sage the details are here above mentioned
well, the issue is fairly clearly seen here - you have a mod that's sending recipes without a recipe type, which fully breaks geyser's recipe translator
in other words, a vanilla client would also complain about the unknown recipe type
Geyser isn't designed for a modded server, since we don't know what mods do and don't do - if a vanilla client can join (which it doesnt seem to able to here), Geyser should work too. No idea how you're in a situation where a non-modded vanilla Java client cannot join but Geyser can; but that's ultimately what's causing the issues here
You can try to login with a vanilla client, that works, even with the mod there and its working, but instead of a mod, it's a data pack, so I guess i need to find a solution with that I guess
^ kastle wasnt able to join with a vanilla client...
Thank you for the clear explanation tho! That makes sense
I know but I 'm using a vanilla client and it works
thats why it make no sense for me
Can you send a screenshot of your F3 screen?
