Any thoughts on this? This will be my first custom keyboard build and I’m interested in your guys’ opinions on this.

sounds good

#

POM is really really flexible tho so you won't be able to run the JRIS foamless

#

you need to put in a layer of case foam so you dont bottom out onto the case

#

Yeah I recall nearlucid talking about that I think

#

How would you say the case foam effects the sound

opaque night
#

one case foam took away a lot of character in my experience

#

since i do have a jris on hand

#

but practically, case foam would be needed for softer plates

#

Would you say it makes the board more dead sounding

opaque night
#

definitely

#

as foam does with most boards anyways

lament carbon
#

Yeah

opaque night
#

one case foam shouldnt be a bad experience, but it was a step down from foamless imho

#

I see

#

Also would you recommend putting the masking paper they included on the pcb

opaque night
#

yes

#

they have it included

lament carbon
#

Or should I get strips of tape and tape the flexcuts instead

#

Like mentioned in keyboreds video

opaque night
#

depends on your prefernwce

lament carbon
#

Does the tape just add a poppier sound and make it less flexi

opaque night
#

it just gives it a fuller sound

lament carbon
#

Alright

#

What’s your opinion on cream sodas btw

opaque night
#

just manufactured cthulus

#

they're alright

lament carbon
#

How bout green jackets

opaque night
#

those are cool

lament carbon
#

Tactile or linear

opaque night
#

tbh switches are all preference, but i like linears

lament carbon
#

What are the differences between green jackets and cream sodas

opaque night
#
