I'm leaning towars bug due to the money loss.
Prices might differ for other players due to perks (I also ignore good management):
1 Afterlife Essence 3s 82b
1 Ghostly Breah 4s 40b
3s 6b for the demonic offering (one costs 72s on my end and results in 20)
Dead Awakener is 8s 77b
I mean it is established that I'm bad at math but that's like 3 silver for each you loose? 🤔

With 10 of each it would be 5s 64b for the "materials" with an 8s 77b outcome. That would be a very huge profit considering that it's preferred by customers.

You wind up needing to have Good Management 3 to break even / profit on them
you make another 61s 39 with the batch of 27, versus the 51s 60 you lose without it (not sure what it's like for the lower levels of good management, just looking at 20 versus 27)
(mind you, I'm neutral on all this, I'm just here for the math)

In the end the devs have to decide if they want to do anything about it or leave it as it is. It's just an event anyway. If they redo it next year again they might adjust the numbers to work a bit better. 🤷♀️

though you'll eventually run out of the demonic offering so after that, it's moot

sadly afraid your math is off. You actually aren't losing money, you're making money. (though not a lot, assuming you get all your ingredients free the only expense is the ritual) you can sell the 20 for a total of 175 silver 40 copper and it only costs (from it's beverage ingredients) 164 silver and 40 copper.

Sorry for correction, but that's only the 2 drinks. On needs a demonic offering too which costs 72s. And that's resulting in the loss of money.

We can get the mushrooms and the herbs for free. For honey it depends on the luck in regards to finding queen bees, but as it'll take 10 honey (assuming no good management skill) to finish the quest line.
