Series X took something like 7 hours total to sell out? Maybe more, I can't quite recall. I'd say odds are high that Y has at least as much inventory (probably more) as X did. I'm sure the community has grown since that drop (and has more money to burn because Christmas), but even taking that all into account, you'll still likely have at least a few hours to grab what you want after launch.

Series X was maybe viewed as a "risky" release because it was a significant departure from normal ouiouis and wasn't guaranteed to be received well, so maybe the stock was low. It seems like it was received very well, though. So maybe Y will have higher stock. Best not to risk it and just try and be there when it drops, though.
