dopple isn’t mean but he’s not super nice or anything

he’s got that same attitude that a lot of mushbuh main characters have
usually kinda poor, a bit obsessed with random objects and concepts, and their story just kinda twists and turns due to the things that happen to them and the people they meet

especially in the older comics, all the action takes place inside because the outside world is somehow damaged, either from sickness/smoke or some kind of radiation or unspecified issue

the protagonist usually is making just enough money to scrape by without having to go outside and face the undesirable world

dopple: let’s make money doesn’t really follow this theme, his problems are actually solved by going outside

it’s only because he decided to explore a little that he’s able to meet new people and fix his problems.
i love all of mushbuh’s comics very much but dopple is close to being my favorite

the other stories aren’t very happy, pringle’s iced coffee kinda is but it’s too short to compare it with others very well, but generally the main character has something bad happen to them (they literally die) or their life stays the same

dopple is really inspiring, for me at least. he has a pretty sucky situation but as soon as he tries he meets a lot of good people and his problems start getting solved.

it’s definitely short but there’s a lot of new elements so it kinda fills it up in a way? like if you had a much longer chapter but it was just the same characters doing things we’d seen before it would feel short. But because there’s all the cleaning shrimp and new characters it feels very good length

i’m excited to see what’s gonna happen, there’s a bunch going on and it’s awesome
