in a recent itemlabel instagram post (the double-boxing one) they said that once the series 1 ouiouis sold out they wouldn’t be restocked. is that true?

It's a little frustrating but yeah I understand why...business demands they release new and exciting products to stay relevant and of course as a smaller company they can't make everything at the same time.

I could be cynical and say oh they're creating an intentional scarcity to drive value up and getting us to consume more but I think that's a little mean to say of ItemLabel.

Of course they're a business but they try to do things as nicely as they can....even though there's no ethical consumption under capitalism and theoretically you could argue that they are also just pushing us to consume consume consume but...I like their little guys. They bring me joy and the community interaction is one of the best parts of itemlabel

But series 1, if it's sold out, it's gone for a while

Cant hold stock of EVERY GUY or else you don't get new guys

the warehouse isn't infinite and space is money, production is money and etc...

There's always enough guys for people to buy if you want them and if you missed out just make sure to cop something in the current or new batch so you don't miss it for a while

#

There are very few things that won't come back, but also nothing has come back that hadn't sold out

#

So you're going to either wait for years, or miss out something new and it's up to you
