#"Waiting for WASM module" after SU5

Ever since the su5 betas and now with the final release of su5, I am getting the yellow triangle of death with the dreaded "waiting for WASM module". Before the final release, instead of using the betas, I opted to stay on su4 where I had no mobiflight issues. Now with the su5 release I no longer have that option.

The only way of getting mobiflight to work now is to go into my library, disable the WASM/event module, and enable it again. HOWEVER, this fix is very temporary because for each new restart of the sim, I keep getting the "waiting for the WASM module' again, and in order for it to work again I have to go back to my library and redo the disable/enable process once again. I've read the posts with the background noise of winctrl devices, but even disconnecting them or recalibrating them in Simapppro yields no results.

Does anybody have any other ideas of what I can try to do to fix this issue. I've also tried older versions of Mobiflight, unfortunately with the same results.

This might be a su5 bug? Is it showing disabled in the msfs2024 library?

It's showing enabled, however when I disable it and enable it back, it works for the remainder of that session. Once I restart the sim, I'm back to square one.

Hmmmmmmm

#

That sounds suspiciously like asobo broke something. Unfortunately I'm on a trip and can't install the sim

#

@shut jolt fyi something to check

It's not ideal but it's good you've already identified a temporary workaround @left lynx

No worries, I have been monitoring this discord to see if anybody has had the same issues, however it seems like other people have just narrowed it down to the background noise from their controllers. It doesn't seem to be case in my situation.

Google AI seems to think deleting and reinstalling a wasm module after su5 can solve issues.

When did SU5 come out?

Usually I try to go through everybody else's solutions before I post, but it seems like I still can't get it to work.

I am testing most of the times still with 2020

It'd be nice to see if other people are having the same issues, or if they don't, narrow it down to something on my system.

No worries, and no rush. Just figured I'd bring it up here to start a discussion. Thanks!

#

damn I wasnt on su5 beta this time it seems

#

but I wonder how do I know I have the update

#

MSFS 2024 version is 1.7.27.0

#

and it seems I am in the beta in insider hub, not sure if this is how su5 beta worked this time

neon umbra

It was fully released yesterday, just run msfs2024 and it applies the update

fleet hearth
#

yeah it appears to run normally here

#

I get green check for msfs and wasm and I get data

while keeping MF running or just in general?

left lynx

close MF, close down msfs and start it over.

fleet hearth
#

still works

#

so it is something else than SU5 if I am running it

#

msfs 2024 v 1.7.27.0

ok thanks for checking. must be something on my end in that case

Ok, thanks to everybody here for looking into it. I decided to find every folder that had any MF files in it, deleted them all, deleted all the mobiflight event modules I had on the computer and then reinstalled MF again. Seems to be working again. Could have been that I had the wasm module installed in numerous locations (msfs 2020 and 2024), and there was probably a conflict due to that. Hopefully I won't run into this issue again. Thanks again
