#Poti Assignments missing (MSFS 2024)

Hi. While using PMDG in MSFS 2024, the potentiometer assignments for adjusting Main Panel and Display (ND, PFD, etc.) brightness seem to be missing. They used to be available in MSFS 2020, but in the '24 version, they appear to have been replaced by encoders. These essentially function with an on/off logic.
Am I missing something here? Could these assignments be located under a different category? If the answer is no, what is the best way to reliably control the panel and display brightness settings in MSFS 2024? Thanks in advance.

I'd just give the 2020 events a try. Don't have any hands-on experience with PMDG myself, but a lot of 2020 events tend to work in 2024, the newer 2024-only methods are just intended to be a cleaner, more stable way.

They should be listed under 737-800 (2024)

Unfortunately not listed…

Hmm,looks like the prefixes manipulate lvars, so it should be possible to write a custom preset for analogs

#

Not seen any analog inputs for 2020 though

Lets expect some fellow has done this.

what are the min and max values of your pots?

solar arch

Actually the pots are 10K.

what does mobiflight show as the minimum and maximum reading from the pot. full scale would be 0-1023 but normally it is slightly reduced

Not sure but are we talking about this one?

if you enable logging with axis logging in mobiflight. then move your pot all the way a few times then report the highest and lowest values seen in the log.

Hello Hakan, hello everyone. I'm taking the liberty to step in on this Discord because Hakan asked the question on my behalf. It’s indeed me who’s having the issue with the potentiometer. So basically, I registered on this Discord to be able to join in here and hopefully find the help I need. To sum up the situation: when I switch from FS2020 to FS2024, everything works just as well with both the overhead panel and the landing gear panel, except that on the landing gear panel none of the potentiometers lights work anymore. In fact, when I go into the options and choose Flight Simulator 2024 for the Boeing 737-800, I no longer have the "poti" option. I only have the ability to choose "increase" and "decrease." So I think the issue comes from that. I’m not sure how you can help me here. I see that you're asking for the potentiometer values, and maybe those values are needed to adjust them via your program. But the whole problem is that there’s no longer a "poti" option. I imagine it might be possible to program them manually using the hub hop
system I see in the program, or I might need to watch some tutorial videos to understand how to set the potentiometer values. I hope I've been clear enough and that you can help me with this process. Thank you!

@fierce temple ugh we seem to have dropped this through the cracks - did you ever figure this out yet?
